All right, Josh, the Jeep 12 for 12 is over. The final one has dropped. It is the final one. I thought it was the penultimate. I thought we’re 11 for 12 right now. I thought it was the final one. What I was going to say is, and I know how you, when you, when I say dropped, uh, you think of a turd it’s, uh, if it’s the final one, that’s the final turd. So, well, this isn’t, I mean, you know, they say about polishing a turd. Uh, and I think Jeep is done a little bit more of that. Look, I haven’t really pulled any punches when it comes to my opinions on the 12 for 12. There hasn’t been a lot that has really sat well with me. Nothing that has really, um, shined or impressed me at all. And this 11th of the 12 for 12, uh, submission from Jeep is pretty much on par with the rest of them. So I, yeah, what do you think of this, uh, CJ to a flashback?

I think I’ve stated this before. And I, I agree with you. Nothing really jumps out at me with these, these, they’re doing, but the other thing I’ve said before is it is a positive sign that, uh, Stellantis and Jeep gives a

of what we think. Uh, because the, them just doing this, trying to give us something to, um, you know, like you’re important to us and, and, and we want to impress you. I think that says so much more than the actual Jeeps themselves. Okay. I mean, I can give a little bit of credence to that, I suppose, but it’s like they, it was all DEI hires for the department that’s running this or something, because there’s, there’s no substance to it. It just, it’s, it seems so much as marketing more than it does as we were trying to give you something that you want, something that you have asked for as the Jeep community and none of this is that from what I can tell. You’ve been in, you’ve been in meetings before, right? Where there’s 42 people and there’s, all that it’s, it’s being, it’s being led by people that don’t know what the

they’re talking about. I think that’s this going on. Yeah, exactly. Exactly. So for those who don’t, who don’t, who don’t know, um, Jeeps 12 for 12, uh, they’ve released another one and, and this one is a, is a throwback to, to pretty much what started the, the civilian Jeep market and it was the CJ to a, we’re talking fresh out of world war II, we’re, we’re looking at, at Jeeps, um, coming into the States and, and, and being a, a, for the first time, a civilian offered vehicle, um, but it wasn’t marketed as the military Jeep that you can buy and have in your driveway at home. It was marketed as this thing is more industrial and agricultural and it can fit pretty much any hole that you have and, and, and, and be any tool that you need it to be. And look, we even have all these implements and stuff that you can add to it to make it do whatever you want it to do. And, and obviously the story has changed over the years and the decades that Jeep has been around as far as what Jeep means to the public and what the public is looking for out of a Jeep. And although they can’t really fully flash back to the CJ two era, uh, they can’t go back to 1945 and make a new jail. You look like a 1945 Jeep. Obviously that would require a massive amount of retooling in the body body side of the factory Jeep. Isn’t willing to do that. Obviously they’re not there. They want to keep things as factory and streamlined as possible. That’s why we’ve seen a lot of this 12 for 12, not really differ from the fact. The Jeep is not any different than anything they’re already making, which I think that’s one of the disappointments. But we, I think we understand the logistics behind it. Just the safety testing alone. Could you imagine them coming up with something that was, you know, no, you’re brand new.

That’s what they have. They’re both through the, all the rigmarole that all the, regardless of the

executives making the decision, they’re limited. So even the engineers would say, Oh, it’d be cool to do this, but it’d be something like Greg Henderson would have to build. Oh, exactly. Well, you’re right. And then honestly, because Greg ruined us all. Thanks Greg, by the way, because he kind of set the bar a little higher than, than what anybody can absolutely are actually obtained. So yeah, Jeep is, is doing what they can. And, and I agree with you. Their hands are tied to a certain extent from a manufacturing standpoint, but still, I would have liked to have seen more. And so this course, this one generally comes into basically color options that aren’t really available in any other, any other model or form of Jeep. And so you’ve got to go with the flashback, the, the, the CJ to a jail, you or whatever they’re calling it. And, and it’s, it’s just a flashback color scheme is really all it is. And so you get, you get the, uh, uh, Africa it’s, it’s a tan type of color. It’s not the olive drab, but if you order the two door, I believe it comes in the tan, the four door comes in the, in the more olive drab army green. Um, you get the, these orange wheels, which are calling juice or something J O O CD or something. Yeah. I know they’re trying to be, and it’s like, is it orange juice, but you can’t use the eye, you can double up on the O’s because there’s two E’s in the Jeep name. I don’t know. It’s like, there’s some numerology

going on here that I can’t even wrap my head around. So it’s like a really bad Jim Carrey movie or something over there in the marketing department, but nonetheless, I understand what they were trying to go for. And, and on a positive note, they really did do a good job on the interior, leaving everything else aside, as far as what the market might want out of a specialized vehicle or a special offering. And, and Jeep is no stranger to special editions as we know. Um, but this, this sort of at least gives a little bit, something extra that you ordinarily wouldn’t get now, the color scheme inside of the vehicle actually nice, and, and it sort of gives it a bit of an updated look. I don’t know. Instead of all the grays and the blacks and everything that we’re used to, there’s a lot more earth tone in the interior colors and they’ve done some fabric changes as well, as far as some of the vinyls and leathers and plastics and stuff that are, that are in the vehicle. And so you get this much more warmer, welcoming tone inside the vehicle. And it is a little bit brighter with the, with the tan leather interior as well, combining with the, with the brown accents and the dash, there isn’t a lick of gray or black anywhere in the inside. So it, it definitely stands out in that regard. And so I’ll give a Jeep a tip of the hat to, to their interior choice decisions as far as, as what they did to make something different, to offer us something more than what we’ve have been offered in the past. Right. And you can well imagine just coming up with, with more colors is going to be quite expensive for Stellantis. Because they have to go through the whole process of, you know, getting, getting the colors made and also to changing the lines so they can paint those things a different color. So anytime they do anything like this, anytime they make changes from the, the standard stuff, it’s going to cost them more money. And of course they’re trying to make more money by doing this. Um, but, um, you know, I was, I was kind of flashing back and I don’t have it in front of me, but I, it seems like whenever they came out with a Laura Croft, uh, time, uh, Tomb Raider, yeah. The Tomb Raider edition. It seemed like that was kind of, it was something neat about it. I don’t know if it was just because of Laura Croft or, but it seemed like it was, it was kind of more, I didn’t mind it not being a 1947 Jeep because that’s not what they had in the movie. And it was, what was it? Call of duty. They had a call of duty. Yeah. Yeah. That’s so calm and the call of duty versions. Yeah. I think there’s been at least three, three or four, um, offerings in Jeep as far as trim levels go that are a, are a, um, uh, an homage to a movie or a video game or something like that. But you know what they, what they never did. They never did a Jurassic park Jeep. The only thing that they should, the only thing they did for the Jurassic park was come out with a $500 sticker package. And that was pretty recently. Cause I think that a lot of that comes into licensing and stuff. And when you get into, because think about how much merchandising was around that, that, that series of movies. Because just Jurassic park is like a whole franchise now. Oh yeah. Um, and

so what a bunch of crap movies. The amount of marketing and merchandising that went into those movies, there’s so much licensing behind all of that, that there’s no way Jeep could have just done something and again, you go back, going back to the, to the assembly line and how this would have been applied. Now, obviously you can, you can change the, the color of the plastics that are going into the injection molding that are going into the manufacturing process of, of the dash itself, maybe they are painted. I think it’s, it’s something more than that. It’s actually the, the PTFE pellets that they’re using to, to create the plastic, uh, the, the actual compo composition of the materials themselves. And so if you were to scratch the dash, uh, you know, with a ring or a key chain or something like that, or an Aaron, Aaron rock that comes through the window or something like that, it’s not going to leave a gray or a black stripe there. You’re going to see that color through and through. And again, with the, with the leather, it’s not just a dye. This is an actual material choice change. Now the patterns didn’t change. None of the actual, um, you know, what it would take to cut out the material, form it to the seat, uh, form it to the door panel, et cetera, et cetera. All of those patterns, none of that has changed. And so it’s not going to look any different from any other Jeep that you would see on the showroom floor in the, or in the lot, except for the colors. And, and that’s where, where I think it’s, they deserve a little bit of, uh, a little bit of recognition there because. I mean, obviously it’s just changing plastic. It’s changing the paint in the reservoir. It’s not a huge deal. They don’t have to completely retool the assembly line to make these offerings. Whereas something like a graphics package for a Jurassic park vehicle would have required, I think a bit of retooling in order to make that happen with stripes and logos and things like that. So Josh, you know how, at least in the interviews, I’ll come up with some Jeep talk show and be another ideas. I’ve got $2 billion worth of ideas, uh, for, for Jeep. I’m waiting on the paycheck, brother. The first one is, um, make a Jurassic park Jeep because Greg Henderson, unofficial use only has a square headlight grill Jeep licensed. So it is, it was the same one he used whenever he did made the YJL. That was at SEMA a few years ago.

So it’s, it’s, it is factory or OEM plus quality. So they could go over there and tell Greg that they need 500 million of these things.

I mean, you put them in the same spot, but the factor goes, right? So as far as the line, yeah, as far as the line goes, there’s nothing to it other than put this grill with the square headlights and put the square headlights in the buckets in there. I can hear Greg from over in my studio shaking his fist in his shop right now. What do you mean? It’s all you take it. It took me 87 man hours. You

I mean, if they wanted to make one of these 12 for twelves, maybe they could, they, I’m sure they got it all lined up, but they should make it actually. They take the logos that they already have and put the square headlight grill. And I think everybody remembers that in the original Jurassic Park movie, it was a YJ, which had square headlights. And I see these vehicles with around headlights, these wranglers with around headlights done up like Jurassic park. Nope. Sorry. You’re wrong, but you could be right. I’ve seen a newer, I’ve seen a newer Cherokee with, with, with the Jurassic park stickers on it and stuff like that. And it was with the squinty headlights and things like that. I mean, no, this is a sneaker with wheels. Come on. You’re killing me. Smalls. So no, you’re, you’re right. I mean, it deserves a little something, something. And if they did it as a limited edition to where we’re only going to make 500. Oh yeah. Absolutely. You know, and then they’ll be like, and have like Mike Manley or something. Scribble is a signature on there just for, you know, old time. Morrison, Jim Morrison, even. All right. No, wait, wait, wait. Don’t get too, don’t get too far away. That’s only one million. All right. What’s the other one? Here’s the second million. I think you’ll like this one. All right. Do you remember the Jeep from twister?

The honcho Hondo. I can’t remember what it’s called. I remember the, I remember the movie. I remember scenes. I don’t remember the, I don’t remember the Jeep in that. The first, the first like 10 minutes of the movie, the Twister picks up the, Jeep, uh, 60s model, 67 or something model, a honcho it’s yellow and, uh, it picks it up and trashes it. So here’s what they do. Yeah, you’re right. I’m seeing it now. Okay. I hate that. I hate them trash in that beautiful old Jeep, but, uh, here’s what you do. You get a gladiator.

You can put on the cash, you know, and they, it’s a yellow gladiator. It’s got the stickers on it from the honcho and you put Dorothy in the, in the bed of the truck and you sell them available in Kansas. You can only get it in Kansas.

You know, I’m kind of surprised it’s not ending like in December. It just seems like, you know, when it’s 12, that it should be January through December. But then again, I wasn’t in the meeting. So that’s, I think that’s the biggest problem that they have is they don’t have, they don’t make time to invite us to their meeting. Um, only they would, you know, I mean, it’s, it’s, it’s funny because, you know, certain things just make too much sense. Yeah. And so that’s why it just, it never happens. It’s just, Oh, that makes too much sense. They don’t want to give us, they don’t want to give us too much of attention. They don’t want to have to pay either. So, yeah, it was our idea. You know, it could take 2% off the top. I’m just saying. And then they’ll also, what was it when they did this in the movies where they, they, somebody signs up for percentage and the studio makes sure that the movie lost. It could be a blockbuster and the, the creative. The film, you actually owe us 3.2 million dollars.

Nothing, nothing, nothing’s changed, but the, the positive is, is the, the t-shirt that we put up on our, our, our t-shirt t-shirt store that had the word Jeep on it. And we’re showing the gladiator grill. Uh, that one got taken down and they see a Instagram and a few of the other, uh, social media things said that it had to be removed. And we, we assume that it was Jeep and I think it’s a good assumption, but that’s the only one that, that, that, that they said or did anything about. So it’s been a couple of three weeks now since that happened. No further action. Now, that’s a good sign. That’s legal and legal could be looking into it further, but as of now, no further action. So you can see who’s talking like it plays the main video, the top. So what we did was I tested it and it failed miserably this past Tuesday, but that’s okay. So you’re talking to everybody else and we’re recording the zoom meeting. So not only can we play things that are copyrighted and not get dinged on it. We can, I call it movie night. So we can have a sharing experience. Because we’re modifying the original, we’re able to get over the copy. No, we’re not doing anything to the original. It’s being played on everybody’s individual computer. Now, you’re recording it though. Right? So I am not. So I go, Oh, that would be copyright infringement. So I couldn’t. So if we do this next Tuesday, I can’t go back on Thursday and watch it. Watch what you guys did. It’s only live. But it’s, it, it knows what the video is. So whenever you go back to watch the past episode, it starts playing the video from YouTube and the zoom meeting is synchronized to that video. Oh, I see what you’re saying. Okay. Yeah. Okay. So the, so the cool thing here is I don’t want to get too far off on this. People are going, Oh, I don’t give a

about this technical stuff. Um, so what, what I’m thinking about is whenever some, whenever we have the YouTube video up, if we’ve got 20 people in the zoom meeting, that’s 20 views. That that, that, uh, video is going to get. Oh, Hey, now. So I’m thinking about what we could do is encourage vendors that are selling things that may have a video to be on the show, to be on the round table, uh, and talk about their video and they instantly get 20 views and if, and if somebody watches it in the past, you know, rewatches it, those are views that it gets. So I think this might be a really cool thing. And beyond all that, the whole idea behind this was entertainment because it’s fun to watch a movie and make smart

That’s the whole reason behind it. So, uh, you know, it’s something that I came up with. It’s an idea that I’ve had for a while and it works so well. Now, of course I’m excited about it. We need to start rubbing them together. Uh, yeah, really no, but the MST 3000 aspect of this, I was, I was a bit of a geek. I love that stuff. It was, you know, definitely some, some, um, some nostalgia there as well. But, uh, but no, this would be really cool for, for some other movie makers and stuff like that to get some exposure, to get some, some extra clicks and things like that. I mean, Dan Greck comes to mind. Uh, you know, if you were to have, you know, videoed his, you know, trip around Africa type of thing and, you know, mixed documentary movie about it and everything like that, we could watch that and comment about it, et cetera, et cetera, et cetera. I mean, obviously there’s going to be a time format aspect to it. People are going to come in and drop off as the movie goes on and et cetera, et cetera. And, and not everybody could sit there and watch a two and a half hour video of us coming. And we may not be, we may not do two and a half hours of it. I mean, you can watch, watch the YouTube video on your own. The thing we’re selling here is the entertainment of our comments. And I think some people, there’ll be people that want to watch it and laugh at the comments and enjoy that. But I think it’s also going to encourage people to want to be part of the round table that we have every two, seven 30 to get in on the fun. And that’s really what we’re doing here is we’re trying to make things entertaining. Uh,

So, uh, have we talked about Wolf box yet? The, did we talk about that last week? Last week we touched on that briefly, but I think it deserves a another mention. So I did not know this. I was talking about this while we were working on the, uh, the movie night thing on Tuesday. And, uh, I did not know this cause I didn’t do a lot of research on this. I just said, give me the, give me the nice big one that costs a lot of money, uh, for me to test basically Wolf box contacted the Jeep talk show. They wanted us to do a review of the Wolf box or something from them. I picked the Wolf box camera. I think it is the G 900, uh, try pro. Uh, flagship model. I think, I mean, whenever I, whenever I looked up that company, that’s the, the, the constant link that I see in all, in all of these, let me just say I’m honored that they reached out to us. I’m honored. They didn’t even know the

we are because, uh, you know, I did, this is a big time company. They have some really nice products. And because of this, I found out that we have several, uh, people in the Jeep talk show community that already have these things and had them for at least a year. So the interesting thing that I found out talking about it again, this past Tuesday was is that, uh, uh, Wolf box has different size mirrors. So the one I got this 12 inches across. Yeah, I didn’t either is 12 inches across. And I believe bill, uh, I think you bet bill at the, one of the Jeep talk show events, he’s the one that has the three 92, the red three 92. Yeah. Um, anyway, he, he got one and he got the same one I got, but he didn’t like it because it was so

big. You literally can’t open and close the visors because this thing is so wide. Now, I could see that because this isn’t a Jeep only product. Right. Obviously in something like an expedition, a Yukon or something like that, it’s not going to be any problem in your F one 50 or your 3,500. It’s going to be no problem at all. But in something a little more mid-sized or compact, like a Jeep, for instance. Well, there’s a little bit less distance in between the eight pillars. Yeah. Yeah. So I don’t care. Uh, I’m gonna, I’m going to install it and use it and have a good time. I told, uh, told my wife, it might be a problem for her. If she was tall enough to have, uh, to use the visor, because when she puts the visor down, it doesn’t make any difference for her. She’s too short. Two words. You solve this problem really easy. Industrial shears or 10 snips. Just cut the edge of that, that, that visor right off. Yeah. You don’t need that extra three inches on the inside. You can also move the mirror slightly and then raise and lower it. And because the alignment doesn’t make a

bit of difference, because you’re not using it as a mirror, it’s a display. All you have to do is put it back in the general area that you want it anyway. So the thing I want to talk about was the wolf box. I did to install that in the gladiator. Uh, and really looking forward to getting a lot of good video so that you guys can see it. And, um, we’re going to be limited on how many reviews that we can add to the flagship episode here. But I’m planning on having the wolf box review here on a future flagship episode, probably the next couple of weeks. I think it’s also going to be a standalone review. So you can just watch, just watch that. It’ll be out after the flagship one comes out, try to get you suckered in to watch in the flagship episode. And then I have a, I’m sorry. And then I have another product that I have not installed yet, uh, from a gatekeeper off-road. So I have a, um, um, tow hitch skid.

That I had been wanting to get from them for a while. Yeah. And I learned that by taking that. Yeah. I learned that by taking the gladiator off-road and EJS the first time I’ve been up those little ears for the change, you know, that you, that you have to put on there to, uh, maybe be safe and legal to tow a trailer. So I’ll be doing an install on that one. And, uh, that’ll be a review that we’ll have up here. And who knows, uh, this wolf box may not, this may not be the last thing from wolf box because they have several products that, uh, they were interested in, uh, uh, having me install. It just, I’m going to be limited to what I actually want to keep on the gladiator. So I’m just spit balling here, coming up with an idea sort of as, as you’re, talking and mentioning that we’ve got a few, uh, a few listeners, fans of the show who are already running, uh, this wolf box stuff, you know, that maybe we can incorporate their reviews with ours, uh, and, and sort of do a, maybe a round table interview with the three or four people who are running these devices and, and just sit there and talk about, you know, what they like, how is the installation, what have you used it, how beneficial has it been, et cetera, et cetera, and really get into the nuts and bolts of, of. And user, um, uh, thoughts on, on, on what this thing is like, especially since you would got people who have been running it for a little while now. So, yeah, definitely. I’m gonna, I’ve already told Steve-O since he has one in a wrangler, uh, uh, far you asked him, but I’m probably going to get some video from him, uh, talking about it because he’s got a spare tire and that’s where he has his rear camera mounted. Oh, perfect. There’s going to be little things I want to try to do a value add thing. And I think a lot of people here already know that when we advertise something, we try to give the advertiser more than what, what they’re giving us. Right. It’s not just a, just, it’s not just a, an opening the box review. This is an open box review. I will not show you how to open a box because every one of you

Negative things about this. We have absolutely been honest with every review that we’ve had here on the show in the last decade, plus that we’ve been doing this. Um, and, and I’ve, I’ve done a couple of reviews where I’ve, I’ve had some constructive criticism and stuff like that. So yeah, we, this is not just like all puppy dogs, roam, rainbows and, and, and, you know, popsicles and stuff like that, because we got something free and we’re going to talk good about it. No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no. We’re going to put this through the paces. We’re going to give an honest review and actually give you our two cents about what we think about this.
