A Show About Jeeps!

Episode 772 – Blizzard? XJ to the Rescue!

This Week in Jeep

It’s The Age Old Question… Which Came First….?

Has the Bronco copied Jeep or is it the other way around?

There are obviously things in the design of the new Ford Bronco that are a definite steal off the Wrangler, but could the reverse also be true?

SAY IT ISN’T SO!…

New out this week that Jeep is adding brand new factory options that are already available on the Bronco.

Previous examples would be A-pillar mounted mirrors / Rubicon Extreme

Jeeps solution is optional factory installed doors off mirror kit / 35” tires factory

(features found on Sasquatch trim of Bronco only)

The latest features are washout floors and weatherproof seats.

SO WHAT?!

Similar to other options already available in the aftermarket

  • Vinyl floor stickers / Katzkin seat covers

The floor option costs $995 – multi-layer (sound and thermal) floor plugs/tread pattern /etc. NOT available on 4xe or 392 or any 2-door (D’FUQ?)

Seat option costs $1695 – HD Vinyl seats, Jeep grill embroidered / tungsten stitching

You can have them in any color you want, so long as it’s black

Maybe Ford AND Jeep are both stealing design ideas, but from stuff already available in the ever-evolving aftermarket.

What other options that are now standard on Jeeps used to be aftermarket only?

More Awards For Jeep

If You Are a Jeep Shareholder – You Just Got PAID

Stellantis Stock has had a good run lately.

Earnings for the automaker have topped that of GM, Ford, and even Tesla.

The maker of Jeep, Stellantis announced this week, record full-year results, reporting a 26% rise in net profit year over year and a 41% annual jump in global battery and electric vehicle sales.

As a result, Stellantis also announced that there will be a 4.5 billion dollar dividend payout to shareholders.

And as part of the company’s record results in North America, eligible U.S. workers represented by the UAW (United Auto Workers) union will receive profit-sharing payouts of roughly $14,760. Although payments may vary, based on hours worked.
