The new Jeep Avenger has earned widespread industry acclaim, clinching a multitude of awards, including the prestigious 2023 European Car of the Year, Best Family SUV in the 2023 Women’s World Car of the Year, and Electric Car of the Year in the Top Gear UK Awards. Unveiled at the Paris Auto Show last year, the European Car of the Year 2023 has collected over 40,000 orders and played a pivotal role in increasing Jeep segment share in the B-SUV segment in Europe.

The 100% electric version features a 400-volt electric motor, providing a worry-free range of up to 600 km according to WLTP standards for city driving. Additionally, its fast-charging capability offers a daily range boost of 30 kilometers in just three minutes.
The gasoline version is equipped with a 1.2-litre petrol engine capable of developing a maximum power output of 100 horsepower at 5500 rpm, and torque of 205 Nm at 1750 rpm, with a 6-speed manual gearbox.
Stellantis – Layoffs at plants in Michigan, Ohio
Plants that build the Jeep Wrangler, Gladiator, and Grand Cherokee will move from three shifts of workers to two because the company says it needs to limit sales of those vehicles to meet California emissions rules.
Stellantis said it plans to temporarily cut a shift at one of its Jeep plants in Detroit and make other changes at a Jeep plant in Toledo, Ohio, that the automaker says will lead to job losses.
The automaker, which also owns the Ram, Chrysler, Dodge, and Fiat brands, said it is filing Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification notices with the respective governments and the United Auto Workers union out of an abundance of caution. The company cited the need to manage sales of the vehicles it produces to comply with California emissions regulations that are measured on a state-by-state basis.
Those notices, according to spokeswoman Jodi Tinson, list 2,455 workers who may be affected at the Detroit Assembly Complex – Mack plant, where versions of the Jeep Grand Cherokee are produced, and 1,225 workers who may be affected at the Toledo Assembly Complex, where the Jeep Wrangler and Gladiator are produced. Most of the affected workers in Toledo will be supplemental employees, Tinson said.
