Welcome The Latest “Special Edition” To Jeep – “High Tide” 

Jeep has a long, looooong, history of special editions. Heck, I think Jeep’s history with special editions is older than Tony. But as if they needed a reason, Jeep is blaming this one, on the infamous Jeep Beach week in Daytona Beach, Florida. This new line of trim available only for the Wrangler Sport right now will eventually be available on the entire Wrangler lineup, but also serves to debut Jeep’s new special edition – get it while you can if it doesn’t make you sick – paint color. This time it’s a new variant on yellow called High Velocity. But the special doesn’t end there, the High Tide also gets the Wrangler Extreme Recon package which gets you a lift and 35’s not to mention 4.56 gearing in the axles or even 4.88 if you spend the loot for the option. What’s NOT optional is the color-matched hardtop and Gorilla Glass windshield. They throw in some special floor mats and an LED lighting package to make it seem like a cherry on top, but the real cherry on top is the special edition of the special edition. Try to keep up. That’s right, Jeep is going all Inception on you, and for the first 500 made of this specific special edition, they will have a stenciled  “BEACH” for the hood decals instead of the standard HIGH TIDE that will be on every other one after the first 500.

WUFT – waaaay down on 89.1 in like one county. If they’re covering it, why can’t we get on the NBC nightly news? Don’t make me go streaking with a giant JTS flag strung around my neck like a cape!… because if it comes to it… I’m just saying… 

So where are our infectious agents at? We need you to contact your local news channels, preferably all at a coordinated date and time like some sort of organized cyber network of JTS Ninjas, and demand they cover this infectious rat bastard thing! That they get to the bottom of why people keep leaving dead rats and toe tags all over the nation on poor helpless, defenseless, Jeeps!

How to lock the rear axle in a Jeep JL or JT Rubicon while in 4hi?

Put transfer case in 4HI

Press Off-Road + located just next to the front and rear locker lever

Press ESC (Electronic Stability Control) and Hold for 5 seconds

Press the “rear only” lever to engage your rear locker.

You can verify that you’re locked up in the rear and in 4hi by either having up or switching to your Off-Road Page on your Jeep’s infotainment system.

This also works on the 2021 Jeep Wrangler JL Rubicon.
