Jeep Recall Fire Risk: What Dealers Actually Do

On this episode of the Jeep Talk Show, Tony and Josh dig into the massive 2021-2025 Jeep Wrangler and Gladiator fire risk recall tied to the electric hydraulic power steering pump connector that can overheat even when the vehicle is parked. They break down NHTSA 26V363 and FCA campaign 21D, what the roughly one-hour inspection and possible harness or pump replacement actually involve, and how owners should prep before heading to the dealer. The conversation also covers the final 12 for 12 Switchback edition with its fluorescent green accents and head-scratching H1 badging, plus wild talk about Tesla Roadster cold thrusters and how 10,000 PSI compressed air tech could show up on the trail.

Speaker 1
All right, boys and girls, we’re back. Uh, Josh is back with us. Josh, I’m glad you could, uh, you could return. I know you’ve had a few things going on. We’ll get to that a little bit later. Uh, but, uh, glad you can, uh, get with us here today. All right. So, uh, I’m sure you remember, I remember, especially since this is one of the vehicles that I have the fire risks, the recall, the Jeep made for the 2021 through 2025 Wrangler and gladiator 1.08. Can we just round that to 1.1 million us?

[00:00:32:12 – 00:00:32:18]
Speaker 1
Uh,

[00:00:36:06 – 00:01:04:15]
Speaker 1
then this was, if you don’t recall, this was related to the electric hydraulic power steering pump electrical connection that can overheat and cause fire, even when parked, and I think we made a made light of this, that it was basically forced in by a robot and they needed the simple fix was just to put another spinning robot in there so they could spit on the connector before they forced it in. It’s not appropriate, is it? That’s that’s a, that’s Harvey Weinstein stuff, isn’t it?

[00:01:05:19 – 00:01:45:16]
Speaker 2
Basically, yeah. Just a connector wasn’t seated properly. Wiggles loose. Maybe it’s a faulty connector design, or they had a batch of bad molds in the connector or something like that. Things just didn’t quite connect the way they’re supposed to. And for those who are in the know, when you’ve got a, an electrical connection that isn’t rock solid in both mechanical and, and, uh, uh, you know, it has a rock solid connection between two surfaces, you’re going to get sparks and other things that the metal can upgrade and that can generate heat as well. Exactly. And so that combined with a fluid that is theoretically flammable. Yeah, that can cause a, a no good, very bad day.

[00:01:46:17 – 00:01:49:05]
Speaker 1
So, um, I mean, that’s fine. I finally

[00:01:49:05 – 00:02:18:01]
Speaker 1
had it for probably two, three weeks. Uh, okay. But I’m not in a rush to get down there because who wants to leave their, their beloved Jeep, uh, at a dealership overnight or a week, or, I mean, I have fears like this, the camera placements for the, the 3.6 liters where they don’t have a cam to replace your, your cam and your 3.6 for three and four months. I don’t know if that’s still going on.

[00:02:18:01 – 00:02:18:22]
Speaker 2
Good Lord.

[00:02:18:22 – 00:02:19:15]
Speaker 1
Yeah.

[00:02:19:15 – 00:02:24:10]
Speaker 2
I talked to my local machine shop and just, Hey, can you guys turn one out really quick? I’m, you know,

[00:02:24:10 – 00:03:08:09]
Speaker 1
well, but then it’s not warranted. And if you had one go bad, because, you know, I still don’t know for sure. But I’ve heard, according to Kevin at Baxter performance, if you put a back Baxter performance, um, uh, oil filter adapter on there, it keeps oil a little bit of the oil up high in the engine. So whenever you go to start it, it dumps that oil in on the cams and the lifters and all that stuff, and it’s just to, uh, make this, uh, be less likely to happen. Hell Kevin may say it doesn’t happen at all. I don’t remember, uh, trying to, trying to get him back on the show to talk about this, especially after Brad at trail recon was getting ready to head out on his Alaska trip, I believe it was, and had this issue with his 3.6.

[00:03:08:09 – 00:03:13:24]
Speaker 2
Talk about timing. Well, I suppose it better, better happened then than, you know, halfway through the trip.

[00:03:13:24 – 00:03:25:18]
Speaker 1
So it was like a week before the trip and he gets it taken care of. Somebody gave him, uh, or loaned him a cam because they weren’t available for three or four months. And now it’s happened again.

[00:03:27:10 – 00:03:31:16]
Speaker 1
I think it’s the other cam. I think the 3.6 has, has two overhead cams, doesn’t it?

[00:03:31:16 – 00:03:34:18]
Speaker 2
It is a V six. So that would make sense. Yeah.

[00:03:34:18 – 00:03:56:18]
Speaker 1
Yeah. So, uh, it’s happened. I think it’s happened to the other cam. I don’t think it was the one they replaced. So, uh, I keep up, I reached out to Brad once and I don’t want to say like, he’s ignoring me because I’ve only done it once and Brad’s a busy guy. Uh, but I wanted to know if he had the Baxter performance oil filter adapter on the gladiator. And, and after this, this cam replacement, does he have it now?

[00:03:56:18 – 00:04:14:09]
Speaker 2
Right. I was going to say that would be the more important question is, do you have it now? Yeah. Another thing that I’ve heard, I’ve heard with, uh, people having good success with his oil stabilizers, uh, and it just sort of increases the viscosity a little bit, uh, the oil helps it keep it up in the valve train a little bit more.

[00:04:14:09 – 00:04:16:05]
Speaker 1
I’m not using zero weight oil.

[00:04:16:05 – 00:04:25:15]
Speaker 2
Well, you know, that would probably be a good start, I suppose, but yeah, I’ve been seeing a lot of that lately and this is like, wait, zero weight. Hold on. No, no, no, no, no, no.

[00:04:25:15 – 00:04:43:06]
Speaker 1
So, yeah, I know the parts are, are, are the tolerances are much tighter now. And that’s the reason why they’re going with the zero weight, but zero weight to be oil and a zero shouldn’t go together. It’s like oil pressure. You see the oil, the PSI on the oil is zero. That makes me nervous.

[00:04:43:06 – 00:04:50:25]
Speaker 2
Yeah. Even in the old XJ, I’d, you know, had some issues with some sending units and stuff like that. And every time I saw that oil pressure drop, it’s like,

[00:04:50:25 – 00:04:52:24]
Speaker 1
well, you got to stop and listen.

[00:04:52:24 – 00:04:57:02]
Speaker 2
Well, and exactly. That’s just it. You become suddenly super hypersensitive.

[00:04:57:02 – 00:04:58:29]
Speaker 1
Hyper aware. Do you hear the hydrolics?

[00:04:58:29 – 00:05:12:08]
Speaker 2
That vibration? Yeah. What was that? You heard that click. You’re that tick. What was that? You know, and so every little thing is all of a sudden now the engine’s failing and you’re something like that. So, yeah, no, I get it. I get it 100%. So, I mean, great,

[00:05:13:15 – 00:05:25:20]
Speaker 2
great commercial, if you will, for, for the oil filter adapter. And, and, I mean, geez, a little bit of assurance and an investment in your engine, especially when it’s a known problem. Yeah, it’s that’s a no brainer.

[00:05:25:20 – 00:05:40:18]
Speaker 1
Yeah. And the back to your performance oil filter adapter is, it’s, it’s very easy to install. It basically allows you to put a much bigger oil filter on your three six, which, which is always good. I believe it’s always good.

[00:05:40:18 – 00:06:13:20]
Speaker 2
Well, it’s like back to harking back to the days of the four liter inline six, the guys were using the FL one a the Ford, that was a 306 oil filter or something like that. A 351 oil filter. I can’t remember what it’s supposed to go on to really tiny, but it’s like twice the size of the standard, you know, I mean, you could actually get like three quarters of a court extra oil capacity just by swapping out to this oil filter. So yeah, it was a, there’s a little tricks and tips out there for all, all kinds of engines and stuff that gets you these, these little added improvements.

[00:06:13:20 – 00:06:21:22]
Speaker 1
Those are the wonderful days of forums because you could go to the forum and then find out all these little tidbits of information.

[00:06:21:22 – 00:06:50:26]
Speaker 2
Oh, a little bit of searching through your lunch break or something like that. All of a sudden, yeah, you’re, you’re so much more versed on one topic than you were earlier and you figured out that, Hey man, there’s this little trick that I can do for $20. I can add this to the Jeep and get this out of it. And it’s just like, it’s always an improvement. It’s always something better. It’s always, you know, something that you can do that not only helps you learn your vehicle a little bit better, but also helps maintain it and add a little bit of longevity to it. I mean, it’s a win-win in everybody’s book and yeah, those were the great days.

[00:06:50:26 – 00:07:05:16]
Speaker 1
Yeah, they really were. And then there was the, the thing about getting people to post everybody wanted to search are, or go in and follow a thread, a five page thread, get to the end. And the original poster never came on and said what fixed it.

[00:07:05:16 – 00:07:06:09]
Speaker 4
Right. Yeah.

[00:07:06:09 – 00:07:11:20]
Speaker 1
It’s fixed. I don’t care about you people anymore. What’d you do? What’d you do? Yeah. Where did it go?

[00:07:13:20 – 00:07:18:15]
Speaker 1
All right. Anyway, a bit off track there, which is not unusual for us.

[00:07:18:15 – 00:07:30:12]
Speaker 2
So getting back to the recall on, on your own Jeep, you’ve got the notice. You’ve had it for a couple of weeks now. Have you been in contact with the dealership? You talk to them about availability or what it’s going to look like or anything like that.

[00:07:30:12 – 00:07:49:05]
Speaker 1
The main thing I wanted to know was how long I was going to have it leave it. How long I was going to have to leave it there. According to the research that I did, it takes about an hour. Now you don’t have to leave it in overnight unless maybe you show up drunk, disheveled and didn’t make an appointment. Actually, they just said the appointment.

[00:07:49:05 – 00:07:51:12]
Speaker 4
Yeah, we’re going to put your Jeep in the drunk tank.

[00:07:52:19 – 00:08:29:01]
Speaker 2
You’re going to sleep that one off tonight. Yeah. No, well, I think that if you have a schedule and I would assume that something like this would require a scheduled service appointment. Hey, we need you here at nine o’clock on Tuesday, whatever it may be. And typically I would assume for something like an hour’s worth of work, that they’re going to be able to get you in and get you out that day, especially if they’re going to be setting up a technician to do a bunch of recall work throughout the day. Joe over here in Bay 3, today is your day to do recalls. It’s just slamming out one after the other.

[00:08:29:01 – 00:08:32:01]
Speaker 1
Get your answer on time if you don’t like doing recalls.

[00:08:32:01 – 00:09:18:00]
Speaker 2
You know, exactly. And it’s one of those things where you get paid by the one. It’s like, hey, you’re not going to make as much as you ordinarily would on the oil changes today, but you’re going to be able to knock out 30 of these instead of your normal eight oil changes or something like that. So I mean, I don’t know what it’s going to look like or what it’s going to take, I would assume that if you could get and set up and maybe insist on an early morning appointment, that getting that vehicle in and dropped off ahead of time and getting it there early in the day would give them ample enough time to do their necessary inspection and repair worth of one hour’s worth of work. So I would hate to see somebody have to have their Jeep overnight for something like this. I mean, yeah, you drop it off at five o’clock at night. We’ll get to it first thing in the morning. You know, type of thing.

[00:09:18:00 – 00:10:15:08]
Speaker 1
So I have a little, I have a little more specific information here that might answer some of those those questions. So for the 2021 Gladiator Fire Risk Recall, NHTSA 26V363, I hope everybody had their pencil ready. FCA campaign 21D, D is in dog. The actual work is estimated about one hour. What the repair involves dealers inspect electric hydraulic power steering pump electrical connection and related wiring. If the inspection shows a problem, they replace or repair the wiring harness and or pump as needed. The work is free parts and labor be many vehicles only need the inspection and leave with no parts replaced. Well, so now that I’m gonna, I’m gonna ask is if you find that there is an actual problem, do you have the parts before I go there? If you find a problem, do you have the parts? And if you don’t have the parts.

[00:10:15:08 – 00:10:19:06]
Speaker 2
We’re gonna need your Jeep here for three months until the car comes in. It’s like, oh, I’m huge.

[00:10:19:06 – 00:10:23:10]
Speaker 1
And if you don’t have the parts, I want to take it home until you get the parts.

[00:10:23:10 – 00:10:26:15]
Speaker 2
How’s that work for you? You’re gonna give me a loaner until we get, I don’t know.

[00:10:26:15 – 00:10:31:11]
Speaker 1
I don’t want to, I’m a stinking loner. I had a Ford Fiesta one time for a long time. I ain’t doing that, that shit again.

[00:10:31:11 – 00:10:33:01]
Speaker 2
Yeah, God, sorry about that.

[00:10:33:01 – 00:10:33:27]
Speaker 1
Not from Jeep.

[00:10:36:14 – 00:11:54:20]
Speaker 2
Well, here’s the thing is that this raises the question then is, is what, what are they looking for in the inspection? If the inspection reveals that, well, you don’t need any parts replaced, what is it that showed them that? Or if you do need parts replaced, what is it that they’re looking for that checks that box that then moves the Jeep into the next phase of repairs? I mean, that, that’s sort of, we, we had talked about this, I think back when the, when the recall first came out was about visual inspections and, and, you know, they’re just going to look, take a look at the thing and send you on your way. And more or less, that’s what this, the actual recall notice is saying is that we’re going to take a look at it. And if we don’t see anything and they’re not saying what they’re looking for, we’re going to send you on your way. I would beg the question, what is it that you’re looking for? And maybe you can do your own research a little bit ahead of time. Maybe you can assure yourself that, Hey, I do have a problem because I can see what it is looking for. And I want to make sure that it gets taken care of. So if you guys say that, Hey, you don’t need any repairs or parts replaced because they just want to get to the next vehicle and they’re going to slam out a bunch of these in a day so that they can get their claim through Stellantis.

[00:11:54:20 – 00:12:44:28]
Speaker 1
Well, of course, they get paid for that because of a fire occurs after it’s been blessed. So I’d like to reach out to all the Jeep talk show viewers and listeners to take a picture of your, uh, the connector. You may have to look it up to find out where the connector is and take a picture of it and see if there’s any visual damage to the outside of the connector. I predict that they look, look at the connector and then pull it apart and look at the both, both sides of the connection to see if there’s any bend, uh, bending or cracking or whatever, because if they’re going to potentially replace the pump, it’s probably internal to the connection that they put it on there too hard. It broke something, bent something, uh, still past the QA or the QC, but, uh, didn’t, um,

[00:12:46:01 – 00:12:50:03]
Speaker 1
um, it is now causing these fires. So it’ll be interesting to see some pictures.

[00:12:50:03 – 00:13:07:12]
Speaker 2
Yeah, exactly. Cause I’m, cause they’re talking about replacing the pump and or the harness, you know, one or the other, if not both. And so then I’m like, okay, well, is this a harness that plugs directly into the pump? Is there an interconnect? Is there a pigtail that comes off of the pump? You know, where is interesting?

[00:13:07:12 – 00:13:16:09]
Speaker 1
I just assumed it was since they talk about replacing the two that, that, that to me in my mind was it, but they were connecting the harness to the, the power steering unit.

[00:13:16:09 – 00:13:56:24]
Speaker 2
And that’s why maybe the problem one or the other, maybe the problem is in the pump side connector and in the vehicle harness side is just fine, but it’s the way that the pump connection was manufactured is causing that problem with the harness side of things. And so yeah, that would, I suppose sort of play into why they would replace just the pump or the pump and the harness, but either way, definitely kind of curious if anybody out there within the sound of our voice listening to this has gone through this has maybe asked a few additional questions of the technician at the dealership or the dealership themselves as to, you know, what is it that you’re doing? What did you find? That’s what I’m going to do.

[00:13:56:24 – 00:13:59:18]
Speaker 1
The dealerships are just thinking that I’m requesting them.

[00:14:00:24 – 00:14:44:07]
Speaker 2
Yeah, exactly. I mean, the more, you know, you know, we’re going back to the old, you know, GI Joe cartoons at the end of the day, you know, the more, you know, and the knowing is half the battle. Kung Fu grip. Kung Fu grip. Yes, exactly. So yeah, let us know. Reach out to the Jeep talk show, jeeptalkshow.com slash contact. You can find out phone numbers. You can find out email addresses, how you can contact us, reach out to us and stuff. And we would love to hear your experience with this recall, what you went through, what you saw, what you heard, and how you were treated through the whole process. Did it take an hour? Did you have to leave your Jeep overnight? You know, let us know exactly what it was that you experienced with this recall and what the outcome was like.

[00:14:44:07 – 00:14:57:20]
Speaker 1
Oh, and did you get upsold? Did they say, hey, while you’re here and also while we’re in there and also did you buy a new Jeep? Because I think that ultimately is the reason why they’re getting you to the dealership.

[00:14:57:20 – 00:15:03:25]
Speaker 2
Right. Yeah. We just want to get you in here so that we can show you this brand new 2027 model. In fact, yeah.

[00:15:07:02 – 00:15:19:13]
Speaker 2
Well, it’s funny because I speaking of 2027 models, we got more on that 12 for 12. Didn’t we Tony? I think the final, the final jeeps 12 for 12 has been released with time

[00:15:19:13 – 00:15:20:17]
Speaker 1
for Christmas.

[00:15:20:17 – 00:16:30:14]
Speaker 2
Just, I know, right? Just in time for the holidays. And, and honestly, they went with a fluorescent green thing in, in this, they call it the switchback instead of the switch blade. And they, they emphasize the ACK in switchback in the fluorescent green because that’s what you’re getting is fluorescent green with this. And this is going right back to a lot of my complaints with a lot of the eight, a lot of the, the 12 for 12 stuff that Jeep has done is it seems to be focused around color schemes more than anything else. It’s purdy. And so yes. Okay. This is eye-catching. You get, instead of like the Rubicon across the hood, you get switchback and it’s bold and it’s black with green, you know, fluorescent green like that. And it’s highlighted and stuff. And then you get the, the grill surround and that’s striking fluorescent green as well. And it all ties in with the striking fluorescent green faux bead locks on there as well. That for reasons is there. And, and of course we’re going to go ahead and tie it into the interior as well. You get some stitching and stuff and the word switchback again with just the A

[00:16:31:18 – 00:17:00:15]
Speaker 2
in fluorescent green on the seats. I don’t, because that’s in all the advertising it’s ACK, but then on the vehicle itself, it’s just the A. I don’t know. I don’t get it exactly. So yeah, what they’re trying to highlight what they’re trying to do. And then because nothing screams like Jeep heritage, then putting giant H one on the side of the Jeep, because we’re going to pay homage to the original Hummer.

[00:17:00:15 – 00:17:01:19]
Speaker 1
That’s what I was thinking.

[00:17:01:19 – 00:17:51:03]
Speaker 2
It’s like, what the fuck are you doing? Seriously, the marketing team at Stellantis needs to not only be fired, but taken out back and beaten with a length of rubber hose. Who the fuck thought that it would be a good idea? Seriously, we should just roll this right into fuck you, you fucking fuck because whoever came up with the H one in bold and on the side of a heritage, a 20 27 12 for 12, this is supposed to scream Jeep. This is supposed to entice you to get into the Jeep lifestyle and become part of the Jeep ownership club and all this stuff. But we’re going to throw a giant H one on the side of the vehicle. That’s going to help you make this decision for some fricking reason whatsoever that cannot be explained because what screams Jeep more than H one, I, it makes no sense to me. Make it make sense, please.

[00:17:52:18 – 00:17:57:11]
Speaker 1
Yeah. Not that the H one isn’t a good vehicle, but it’s doesn’t have a solid axle. So fuck it.

[00:17:58:14 – 00:18:22:22]
Speaker 2
Exactly right. It’s not a Jeep. So I mean, that’s right. I mean, everybody loves the, you know, the look of the original Hummer. They are very capable vehicle and all that sort of stuff. But again, it’s not a Jeep. I mean, the only thing they could have done worse would do like H three on the side of it. I mean, that would have been even worse because that’s just a Silverado, but this is, I mean, I don’t, I just, I, it boggles my mind. I don’t, I don’t understand. I don’t get it.

[00:18:22:22 – 00:18:29:26]
Speaker 1
Yeah. I was just thinking H two, maybe H two O, but then everybody coming asking you for water thinking you’re the water

[00:18:29:26 – 00:19:19:01]
Speaker 2
again. And where does switchback come from? What I mean, cause that, that means, okay. So we talk about like, okay, down at the bottom of this trail, there’s a, there’s a switchback. Be careful of that because it’s a tight turning radius. Okay. I can kind of understand that in regards to, okay, it’s trail terminology. Then again, where’s the H one come from and why fluorescent green out of all colors? I don’t know. It’s like, if anything, this, this should have been, it had like a Seahawks in bull monitor or something like that, because that green is pulled directly from out of the Seattle Seahawks color swatch. Absolutely. A hundred percent. They’re only missing a little bit of blue and gray in there, but it’s just, I don’t know. I I’ve had a problem with a lot of the 12 for twelves. This final 12 for 12 edition.

[00:19:21:06 – 00:19:47:03]
Speaker 2
And again, I don’t understand why they’re, they’re doing this. They, they could have gone a different direction and there’s no contig, this continuation in, in this again, in all of their marketing, the ACK and switchback is all highlighted green, but then in the Jeep itself, only on the seat where you have the word switchback is the A in green. Why the selection of the few letters or the single letter in that,

[00:19:48:24 – 00:20:10:29]
Speaker 2
where’s the representation? Where’s the tie-in to Jeep? Where’s the heritage behind this? It makes no sense. So again, somebody was justifying their job in marketing by coming up with an idea that it has absolutely nothing to do with Jeep or their heritage. So way to go guys, way to knock it out of the park. You know, I’m being sarcastic.

[00:20:10:29 – 00:20:16:04]
Speaker 1
It just hit me. Maybe the H1 has something to do with the, the country of India.

[00:20:17:24 – 00:20:26:15]
Speaker 1
Because there’s, there’s, there’s, there’s talk of the gladiator potentially coming to India as a premium pickup.

[00:20:28:02 – 00:21:22:11]
Speaker 2
Well, premium, yes, sort of, but no, not really. I mean, they’ve, they’ve, okay. So what they’re talking about is the fact that Rubicon and Wrangler, I mean, the, the Wrangler have hit a 1 million unit global sales milestone this year. So a million units of the Wrangler and the gladiator have been sold globally worldwide here in 2026. So the year’s not over with, they’re still going strong. But because of that, and because of Jeeps being officially named as the, the official vehicle of Moab, which I don’t know why it took them this long to come up with that is beyond me, but they’re talking about the gladiator potentially coming to India as a premium pickup, but it’s going to be a CKD. And for, for those in the automotive industry, you already know what that means, but for those who don’t, it means completely knocked down. This is going to be a stripped down model.

[00:21:22:11 – 00:21:24:21]
Speaker 1
Interesting. I did not know what that stood for.

[00:21:24:21 – 00:21:45:03]
Speaker 2
Yeah. It’s good. So it’s going to be a stripped down model to begin with. And then it’s going to be, you know, the old term, some assembly required. That’s how they’re going to get around with the tariffs, because essentially this is going to be not only a stripped down model, but then it’s going to be completely disassembled. I mean, not disassembled. It’s not going to be assembled to begin with.

[00:21:45:03 – 00:21:48:24]
Speaker 1
And so basically furniture place where you always have to put the stuff together.

[00:21:48:24 – 00:21:50:00]
Speaker 2
Yes, this is going to be

[00:21:51:18 – 00:21:56:29]
Speaker 2
Ikea and India. And basically they’re going to give you an Allen ranch and it’d be like, here you put together your Jeep.

[00:21:59:06 – 00:24:38:05]
Speaker 2
So no, but it’s kind of along those lines. So the CKD completely knocked down. You’re not going to get your 392 over there. You’re probably not going to, to get, you know, turbo inline six or anything like that. You might get a turbo four, you’re going to get the, the 3.6 Pentastar V6. But that’s pretty much going to be it. There’s not going to be a whole lot of trim options. They’re going to be very stripped down. Exactly. I mean, honestly, that’s what I was thinking as well. It’s just like, wait a minute. Why are we offering India this and not here in the States? Because this option, you know, available to the customer could, I would think knock a good 10 grand off of the sticker price. So I mean, that would be a big massive deal. Now, because they want to push for the higher trim models. They want to push for, you know, all the options and everything. Sure. Absolutely. And that’s what this is all about is, is making that bottom line. And so could they do that with the, the, the sales, um, the sales force that the, the Jeep has had over the course of the year, selling a million models of, of the Wrangler and, and the so, Hey, this is a very popular vehicle. Let’s see if we can sell it in India, but it’s going to come as a high price point relative to, so basically they’re, they’re trying to compete with what is like the Toyota Tacoma over there. The Hilux is what it’s called in, in everywhere except for the U S. So they’re competing with the Hilux. Uh, it’s a mid-sized truck. The, the gladiators mid-sized truck, it would be in direct competition with it. And Stellantis could then have a footprint in India, where Toyota is got a very, very large stronghold, uh, especially in the, in the, in the medium size truck market. So with Stellantis offering this potential, and again, this isn’t written in stone yet. This is just a potential. This is, could be happening. And I could see this maybe starting to happen in 2027, but then being officially rolled out for the 2028 model year as they use 2027 to be sold. And they will be sold for 2028. And so they’re going to have to have a lot of supply chains, uh, what the shipping and tariffs are going to look like, etc, etc, etc. So, and again, circling back to the tariffs and how they’re going to avoid a lot of that is by essentially shipping India a bunch of parts. So remember back, back, back in the forties, we saw, we’ve seen all the videos and even, I mean today, in today’s, um, uh, world, occasionally you’ll see it in a parade where a Jeep will roll up. The guys will disassemble the thing in an intersection and put it back together in five minutes.

[00:24:38:05 – 00:24:41:22]
Speaker 1
They know exactly how many threads need to be engaged.

[00:24:41:22 – 00:25:42:18]
Speaker 2
So that’s kind of what you’re going to get a G India is going to get a Jeep in a box and it’s going to have all the parts. It’s going to have everything you need, but it is not going to be an assembled vehicle. And because they’re not getting an assembled vehicle, they can avoid the tariffs. And because they can avoid the tariffs, they can actually kind of have some massaging when it comes to the price now. That being said, it’s still going to be a premium price point because it’s competing against the Hilux, the Toyota over there. So it’s, again, it’s a bit of a kind of a tricky scenario. It gets a little bit deep in the weeds when it comes to like how this is all going to play out and work. But if they are able to pull this off and if they are able to secure the supply chains and the shipping channels and everything else to make this happen, this could be a really big deal for Jeep or Stellantis as a whole. Now, obviously Stellantis has been struggling for a couple of few years for a while. And there’s been talks about Jeep and Ram sort of cutting ties just because they’re getting drugged down with Stellantis.

[00:25:42:18 – 00:25:47:03]
Speaker 1
Oh, I think they’re making a beautiful deal. Be part of a, be an owner of a winning vehicle company. Seriously.

[00:25:47:03 – 00:25:58:14]
Speaker 2
Seriously. I mean, it’s about time that Jeep and Ram don’t have a parent company. Right now Stellantis is dragging the brands down with Jeep

[00:25:58:14 – 00:26:12:20]
Speaker 1
and Ram are like the US post office funding all the bullshit that Congress wants to fund because they take it from the, from the mail, the mail service and spend it on something else. That’s kind of what Stellantis has been doing with, with Jeep and Ram.

[00:26:12:20 – 00:26:34:29]
Speaker 2
So I think that we’re going to see some big moves coming up in the next years. And this, this, and if this doesn’t work, honestly, I could see by 2030, Jeep and Ram making a move, whether or not they can do it without, I mean, I don’t know if Stellantis would live it. I mean, that’s what I’m saying is I

[00:26:36:03 – 00:26:50:25]
Speaker 2
don’t know if Stellantis would let it happen if they could let it happen. If that’s even something that could happen. I think it needs to happen. I think it should happen, but yeah, time will tell of course, but this is, this is basically some interesting things that are happening kind of in the background behind Jeep.

[00:26:50:25 – 00:27:11:22]
Speaker 1
So let me ask you this, Josh, this wasn’t on the list, but I’m just curious. Yeah. I’m assuming that if you could buy a brand new Jeep right now, Wrangler or Gladiator, that it was in the cards where you financially and stuff, you’d do it. But is there any other Jeep vehicle, Jeep branded vehicle that you would purchase?

[00:27:14:11 – 00:27:23:24]
Speaker 1
I mean, a commuter vehicle is fine, but I mean, well, so it doesn’t make sense to buy anything from Jeep other than a Wrangler or a Gladiator.

[00:27:25:07 – 00:27:31:00]
Speaker 2
I mean, yes and no. Look, I don’t know if you’ve actually seen in person yet a grand wagon here.

[00:27:32:02 – 00:27:43:26]
Speaker 1
That’s a good point. Yeah. So I mean, I saw one of the JS. So, you know, there’s, yeah, it’s a space shuttle. It is. It’s a shuttle for the next generation.

[00:27:43:26 – 00:27:52:20]
Speaker 2
You want to talk about the mothership that, that this is it, man. So yeah, if, if I had my druthers, if it was in the cards, sure, man, I would love it.

[00:27:52:20 – 00:27:54:15]
Speaker 1
It’s so hard to park at Walmart.

[00:27:55:16 – 00:27:59:21]
Speaker 2
I park in the back, man. I’d take up four spots. I give a shit.

[00:28:00:23 – 00:28:12:22]
Speaker 1
The grand wagon here is nice, especially with that hurricane engine. That’s a good point. I was thinking like the recon or the compass if they’re still making the compass, the Cherokee, you know, all those other ones.

[00:28:12:22 – 00:29:28:26]
Speaker 2
It’s funny you mentioned the recon because I think that hit like a milestone as well. This month, I believe the recon hit somewhere in the neighborhood of 300,000 orders, which is pretty big for a new vehicle for Jeep. So now whether that is actual customer that’s just the dealership networks allocated, you know, okay, you’re, you’re, you’re part of the Jeep dealership network. You are under contract to buy X number of vehicles across our, across our lineup. And that’s going to include the recon. So that might be Stellantis forcing the recon down dealerships throats. I don’t know, but the magic number is 300,000 so far. So that’s a kind of a big deal, which means one of two things either a there is going to be a demand for this vehicle and it really is kind of showing up to be the, what do you will the Swiss army knife of, of, of Jeeps that they have kind of marketed this thing as it is not only your daily driver. It is not only an off-road rig. It is not only customizable. It is absolutely modular. It is absolutely fun to drive and it has everything that you want out of a Jeep

[00:29:30:00 – 00:29:30:17]
Speaker 2
ish.

[00:29:30:17 – 00:29:41:09]
Speaker 1
Yeah. It’s rated trail rated parking lot, uh, uh, rated badge on there. Oh yeah. No, you can take it. You can take it to the off-road parking lot

[00:29:41:09 – 00:29:44:22]
Speaker 2
mall crawling approved. Absolutely. A hundred percent.

[00:29:44:22 – 00:30:03:06]
Speaker 1
The recon, which you can remove the doors. I mean, legally, I mean, it’s designed to remove the doors from Jeep. You can remove those doors on a recon, but it reminds me of seeing those, those funny memes and stuff on the, on social media where somebody’s driving a Ford Fiesta with the doors off.

[00:30:03:06 – 00:30:07:11]
Speaker 2
Do you think you have a Jeep yet? Once a Jeep owner, always a Jeep owner. Yeah.

[00:30:08:26 – 00:30:13:00]
Speaker 1
The bank account’s not there, but the desire is so

[00:30:13:00 – 00:30:15:13]
Speaker 2
you gotta get them to let an A for effort.

[00:30:15:13 – 00:30:35:27]
Speaker 1
All right, Josh, I want to ask you about this. I don’t know if you, uh, if you saw or heard the, episode where, uh, Chris and I were talking about, uh, cold thrusters for a Jeep. And of course, this has to do with Tesla coming out with the roadster that literally flew. And it, you, you had not seen the video until right before we started recording.

[00:30:35:27 – 00:30:36:03]
Speaker 2
Right.

[00:30:36:03 – 00:30:40:21]
Speaker 1
Yeah. Literally right before I was at what, what they’ve done with this thing.

[00:30:40:21 – 00:30:52:25]
Speaker 2
So obviously, so this week and we’re recording this on a, on a Wednesday and this kind of hit, I think either last Friday or this Monday, and so it’s been kind of very much in the news. Yeah.

[00:30:52:25 – 00:30:54:05]
Speaker 3
It wasn’t very long ago. Yeah.

[00:30:54:05 – 00:32:14:23]
Speaker 2
Right. And so it’s been, you got in the mouths of a lot of people. And so, and so I’ve been hearing a lot about it. And, and so what I’ve heard didn’t quite match up with what I saw. I was hearing it would sort of levitate a little bit. It’s meant to sort of reduce drag somewhat. And then you, you, you, you and I were talking off the air and, and you were like, remember the old, uh, and you used a reference from speed racer from speed racer back in the day. Now that is a timely reference. And if you don’t know speed racer, you need to educate yourself. Yeah. No, it is timeless, timeless cartoon. Anyways, um, how, how the mock five, when there was a wreck on the racetrack would use the, he would, you know, he would push this button and the car would have these pistons that would jump down, shoot down from the bottom of the car and lift the car off the ground, jumping it up and over and, and essentially that’s what this thing is doing. The, uh, the new Roadster from Tesla has essentially the same technology that is used in, in the, um, positioning thrusters of the rocket systems that space X is using. So same nozzles, same kind of, of, uh, of system. And what, what did you say as far as the PSI, they use compressed air to, to, and by the way, PSI,

[00:32:14:23 – 00:32:17:12]
Speaker 1
no, by the way, itself refilling.

[00:32:17:12 – 00:32:56:11]
Speaker 2
So keep this in perspective, your average air compressor in your garage is running between 125 and 150 PSI max. There’s a few out there that can push out 175 as far as a, a, a, a consumer level air compressor goes. So we’re talking under 200 pounds per square inch, which is your average, which would be considered even at 200 high PSI or average consumer level compressed air, 10,000 PSI stored in the vehicle that you’re driving potentially right underneath your ass.

[00:32:56:11 – 00:33:24:17]
Speaker 1
No, no, Josh, I got a, I got a little bit of information. I didn’t tell you one of the COPD tanks is where the passenger seat would be. If you had the two seater model, if you’ve got these cold thrusters, one of the seats are areas where the seat is occupied by a 10,000 carbon fiber wrapped COPD 10,000 PSI right there next to your whole body, not just to your ass. Actually, the ass would probably be the only thing left.

[00:33:24:17 – 00:34:09:02]
Speaker 2
See, so I mean, I, the price point on these cars is probably going to be six figures. I don’t have 500,000. Yeah. So I mean, obviously, you know, you’re not going to be having a whole lot of these out on the road. You’re not going to see a ton of but that being said, you know, there’s going to be some rich mother effer out there who’s going to be like, well, I want to take this on my, on the track day, you know, he’s going to take it down to the local racetrack and he’s going to, you know, put out a couple of few hot laps and, and, you know, all it’s going to take is that ass and coming out, just, he’s going to, he’s just going to let that hang out there a little bit and clip the wall a little bit. And suddenly 10,000 PSI is going to spontaneously decompress inside the cabin of that, of that vehicle. What do you think going to happen to the soft squishy meat bag next to it?

[00:34:09:02 – 00:34:15:13]
Speaker 1
You know what? I bet you they can engineer it where the person is okay, but the car ain’t going to be okay.

[00:34:16:26 – 00:34:22:10]
Speaker 1
It’s bad enough when a tire, when tire tread comes off a tire and it roaches the, the whole fender

[00:34:22:10 – 00:34:35:29]
Speaker 2
and it’s going to be like a shape charge going off the entire passenger side of the vehicle’s blown out. Like, you know, like a 50 caliber bullet going through a watermelon, but you know, the driver completely unscathed. No, look at this. You can still operate the window over here on the driver’s side.

[00:34:35:29 – 00:34:47:13]
Speaker 1
You know, it just dawned on me. What a great upgrade for a power tank. You don’t like having your power tank refilled? No problem. 10,000 PSI.

[00:34:47:13 – 00:34:49:16]
Speaker 2
What’s this? I will air up everybody.

[00:34:49:16 – 00:34:56:02]
Speaker 1
You can air up in half a second with a Tesla cold air thruster, uh, uh, compressor.

[00:34:56:02 – 00:34:59:26]
Speaker 2
Oh Christ. The regulator on that tank is just hot.

[00:35:00:29 – 00:35:14:24]
Speaker 1
Oh, and the other thing, because I’m evil, the other thing I thought of, uh, the, you do a test, this could be on myth busters. How long does a train horn last on a 10,000 PSI COPD tank from Tesla?

[00:35:14:24 – 00:35:17:10]
Speaker 2
It just freezes up, turns into a block of ice.

[00:35:17:10 – 00:35:19:14]
Speaker 1
It just looks at you like, what the hell are you doing?

[00:35:19:14 – 00:35:41:15]
Speaker 2
We were, we were talking off air about this, just joking around as we do. And, and I had come up with the idea of a great, you know, be able to, you were saying, uh, you know, no more Jeep rollovers with this technology. Yeah. Incorporated into the roll bar. You got some high mounted, uh, thrusters up there in the corners or whatever you get past a certain camber angle, the thrusters kick in, bring it right back to zero. No problem.

[00:35:43:00 – 00:35:43:15]
Speaker 1
I love it.

[00:35:43:15 – 00:35:45:02]
Speaker 2
I think it’s a cool idea.

[00:35:45:02 – 00:36:21:06]
Speaker 1
No, it would be dangerous too. But you know, it could actually happen like at king of the hammers. Cause I would think this would be a wonderful thing to have at king of the hammers, not during the race because of the danger associated with the cold air thrusters, throwing debris, but this before the race is kind of like, uh, uh, oh, what the hell is that thing? The, uh, the drink, the energy drink monster, they got a monster vehicle with a monster driver out there, uh, going up and over big obstacles on king of the hammers. Cause they’ve mounted some of these, I could see somebody putting fire extinguishers

[00:36:22:26 – 00:36:45:13]
Speaker 1
to fake out the, uh, the audience, but, uh, yeah, no, I think we’re going to see every year. We’re going to see more from the cold thruster thing simply because it’s really, really interesting and an interesting cells, eyeballs. So we’re going to be seeing a lot more about this stuff. And I’m sure monster energy drink. Who’s the other one? Is it monster that flew the plane through the tunnel?

[00:36:45:13 – 00:36:46:10]
Speaker 2
Oh,

[00:36:47:13 – 00:36:50:19]
Speaker 2
maybe that red bull, red bull, red bull is always doing crazy stunts.

[00:36:50:19 – 00:36:55:00]
Speaker 1
Red bull. I bet you were to see something from red bull with, uh, with cold air thrusters.

[00:36:55:00 – 00:36:58:12]
Speaker 2
Well, okay. So you know, we’ve got flying cars now,

[00:36:59:13 – 00:37:01:21]
Speaker 2
kind of, I mean, there’s actually, they’re at, they are actually,

[00:37:03:15 – 00:38:16:08]
Speaker 2
there it is. There are a few companies out there that are making it. Well, we, there was just, and I, this of course happened in like, you know, uh, United Emirates or something like that. You know, somewhere where, you know, it’s not uncommon for people to be a quad trillionaire. Um, but you know, they, they did this first, uh, flying car race and they had these, you know, these, these giant inflatable pylons and stuff that they were going around this, this course, if you will. Um, and it was slow and it was just a big figure eight and it, it took, you know, 15 minutes for them to complete a lap. And it wasn’t really all that exciting, but it was a flying car race between. Oh yeah. The quad copters, basically. Essentially. Yeah. It’s just basically a person. It’s not just, it’s just not just a drone. Yeah. There’s people, there was one person in each one. It’s a single seater device, but you know, nonetheless. So I mean, that’s happening. So we were talking about having this, this compressed air technology off road and it’s like, well, instead of a winch, you’ve just got, you know, this 10,000 PSI tank and a couple of thrusters underneath the Jeep. It’ll pop you right over any rocks. You have a problem getting over the hover button, get a little forward movement first, you know, blast a crater in the trail at the same time. But hey, what, you know, we’re just adding the

[00:38:16:08 – 00:38:21:12]
Speaker 1
40, 40, 40 inch tires. I’ll make my own trenches. Right.

[00:38:24:03 – 00:39:13:05]
Speaker 2
So yeah, lots of, lots of interesting stuff coming out and I could see somebody adopting this technology because it only took, I mean, less than 10 years for people to sort of take down parts from a wrecked Tesla. And, and suddenly you’ve got a, a Volkswagen Beetle from the sixties that has a Tesla drive train in it and do zero to 60 in 1.3 seconds. I mean, it’s just like, we’re going to see somebody taking this technology out of a wrecked roadster here in the next five or 10 years and putting it on a vehicle that it has no business being on. And whether they make it fly or they make it go fast, I don’t care either way. I want to see this repurposed. I want to see this technology DIY. I want to see somebody go full mad scientist with this shit and just do something bananas with it. So I’m just going to hold my breath until then. It should be interesting.

[00:39:13:05 – 00:40:02:05]
Speaker 1
So I think we, I think we did two interviews with a guy that had a TJ and he did exactly that. He took, uh, the, uh, the electric motors and, uh, the computer. And, uh, if there’s a transmission, I think he, I don’t remember how he did it, but he actually did that. Uh, he wasn’t getting a lot of mile, uh, miles out of it. I mean, because it’s not an optimized vehicle frame for, for electric, but yeah, I agree with you. I think we’re going to see much more along those lines. And, um, yeah, it’s going to be fun. It’s going to be fun seeing people do that stuff, especially when they get to the point where they can, uh, take it off road and, you know, actually go through the, all the trails and stuff. And it’ll be so strange hearing nothing other than rubber on rocks. Yeah.

[00:40:02:05 – 00:40:03:19]
Speaker 2
Well,

[00:40:04:22 – 00:40:55:11]
Speaker 2
I remember there was, uh, I think it was France, it got us somewhere over in UK, in the UK somewhere. There was somebody that decided to make an air powered car and it looked kind of like one of those Scion little toaster vehicles. It was a small, small micro minivan of sorts or whatever. And it had, I mean, the entire back end was just nothing but tanks, obviously. Um, and it was, uh, again, one of these extremely high pressure systems, probably in the neighborhood of 10,000 PSI. I don’t remember what it was, but I would assume it was up there in, in, you know, the five, five digit range of PSI. And he had a, he had a range of like 75, 80 miles. I mean, it was realistic to have this vehicle and this technology as a commuter car. You know, you just, you hook it up to your compressor, it compresses the air and you just charge up the vehicle with compressed air and off you go.

[00:40:55:11 – 00:41:02:26]
Speaker 1
You know, that’s so funny. It’s 75 mile range. That’s amazing. Whenever I have compressed air, I can barely, I can’t make it through the bathroom.

[00:41:04:25 – 00:41:06:27]
Speaker 1
It’s, it’s out by the time I get it.

[00:41:06:27 – 00:41:08:03]
Speaker 2
The range is limited. Yes.

[00:41:10:21 – 00:42:32:01]
Speaker 2
And so I could see, I could see, I would like to see this technology being adapted into the drive train. Um, you know, so, uh, think, think about the amount of torque that you get from a pneumatic impact gun versus, um, you know, your electric impact gun pneumatic is going to have a lot more torque available to it. Can we see this 10,000 PSI air tank system and these, these drivers incorporated into the drive train system to maybe increase torque on demand. So like there’s a lot of people may, be familiar with a car company named McLaren. Uh, they’re big in F1 racing. They, they’ve got a supercar hypercar out there. Uh, you know, a hundred thousand quarter million, half a million dollar vehicles, um, just insanely fast. They’ve actually had hybrid technology around before it was really mainstream. And one of their vehicles uses hybrid technology to have the electric motor get the vehicle up and going because that’s where you lose 90% of your efficiency is getting a static vehicle moving in the first place from a dead stop. Once a vehicle is in motion, it’s a lot easier and a lot more efficient to bring it up to speed once it’s already moving.

[00:42:32:01 – 00:42:41:09]
Speaker 1
Well, it’s that whole variable, uh, timing, uh, valve train type thing that GM came up with. They would turn off cylinders because you didn’t need all you didn’t need.

[00:42:41:09 – 00:43:10:28]
Speaker 2
Once you’re going down the freeway, exactly. You could drop down to four cylinders and, and shut off half the engine essentially, uh, to increase efficiency because the vehicle just doesn’t need it to travel. Um, so once you get it going, so I could see something along those lines being used now is Stellantis going to jump on this? Are we going to see this in Jeeps likely not. I could see this being adapted in the, in the, in the passenger car or potentially even in like the, the big truck, uh, market and semi truck market.

[00:43:10:28 – 00:43:11:17]
Speaker 3
Yeah.

[00:43:11:17 – 00:43:51:23]
Speaker 2
So you, you know, I mean, you’ve got, you know, you’ve got 30,000 pounds behind you in, in, in freight. Um, you can just, and they’ve already got on board compressed air systems that already run a couple hundred PSI or better. So it’s not out of the question to predict that maybe in a big semi, they use this 10,000 PSI compressed air system to get the vehicle up and moving, get that 10, 30,000 pounds going down the road a little bit more before the diesel engine kicks in and takes over. I don’t know. I’m just, I’m free balling here and thinking that there there’s some other applications for this. Hopefully Elon, if you’re listening, I’ll go ahead and take the royalties on that now, please. But, um, yeah, I think that could be done.

[00:43:51:23 – 00:44:14:22]
Speaker 1
So, uh, you know, the, the semi, the Tesla semi trucks, uh, or have officially been launched. Uh, that would be an interesting thing if it was practical to take one of those compressors, uh, that they’re using on the roadster and actually use that to get the Tesla started, uh, which would potentially, uh, make the, uh, the battery, uh, last a little longer.

[00:44:14:22 – 00:44:17:00]
Speaker 2
Yeah. Because that’s the biggest problem with those.

[00:44:17:00 – 00:44:32:09]
Speaker 1
Yeah. So we were talking about, uh, things going fast. Uh, did you realize that there’s actually a negative side to being fast because Nikki G has learned this the wrong for that. It’s not the best thing about being fast.

[00:44:32:09 – 00:44:34:13]
Speaker 2
Oh no. What did he do to the one

[00:44:34:13 – 00:44:58:07]
Speaker 4
you never tell me my hair looks like this. Geez. Hey, uh, this is Nikki G and a woman collapsed at the baggage carousel in the airport. Yeah, but don’t worry. She’s slowly coming around. If you don’t like that one, you know, you’re really not going to like this one. I just found out that cockfighting is done with chickens. It’s called much of training wasted.

[00:44:58:07 – 00:45:01:22]
Speaker 3
Oh no.

[00:45:01:22 – 00:45:02:22]
Speaker 4
All right,

[00:45:04:24 – 00:45:07:07]
Speaker 4
boys and girls, I’ll chat you later. Have a good one. Bye.

[00:45:08:18 – 00:45:18:29]
Speaker 2
So yeah, when Nikki G was talking about sword fights that one time, I completely lost, uh, the context. So, okay. Understood. Thank you, Nikki.

[00:45:20:09 – 00:45:24:05]
Speaker 1
So I think basically the training is that you just beat each other off, right?

[00:45:24:05 – 00:45:26:03]
Speaker 3
Well, God,

[00:45:26:03 – 00:45:35:11]
Speaker 2
going back into like the first days of the, uh, of the XJ talk show, where, you know, don’t cross the streams and all that. Yeah.

[00:45:37:02 – 00:45:42:22]
Speaker 1
Timely reference. Great things that are in movies that only sick people see.

[00:45:42:22 – 00:45:45:15]
Speaker 2
We wonder why there’s only three listeners to the show.

[00:45:46:23 – 00:45:54:18]
Speaker 1
Well, actually, this is one. It’s a, uh, oh crap. I’m forgetting his name. Who was the second twisted bastard? Uh, Oh,

[00:45:55:21 – 00:45:57:05]
Speaker 1
oh good. It’s not just me. He’s

[00:45:58:14 – 00:45:59:14]
Speaker 1
like, he’s like, I

[00:46:00:26 – 00:46:04:11]
Speaker 2
know. Right? It’s this is what I get for being away from the show for two or three weeks.

[00:46:04:11 – 00:46:09:24]
Speaker 1
So it turns out there’s not three. It’s just, it’s just him listening to it three times.

[00:46:09:24 – 00:46:12:14]
Speaker 2
Well, he’s got three different computers. So there you go.

[00:46:14:19 – 00:46:19:18]
Speaker 1
All right, Josh, we didn’t talk about this. Dusty done. Dusty done. Sick and twisted bastard. Dusty.

[00:46:19:18 – 00:46:20:00]
Speaker 2
Yes.

[00:46:21:17 – 00:46:22:12]
Speaker 2
Love me some dusty.

[00:46:22:12 – 00:46:22:27]
Speaker 1
Sorry.

[00:46:22:27 – 00:46:23:06]
Speaker 3
Dusty.

[00:46:24:10 – 00:46:31:08]
Speaker 1
But we didn’t talk about this, but you say you always have them in the queue. How about a fuck you? You fucking fuck.

[00:46:31:08 – 00:46:39:22]
Speaker 2
Oh, yes. Absolutely. Did, um, we talked about maybe saving that for bonus content. Do we want to give it? We want to give it to him right now.

[00:46:39:22 – 00:46:44:08]
Speaker 1
I thought we would, we don’t want people forgetting about it. So this will kind of be a reminder.

[00:46:44:08 – 00:46:50:09]
Speaker 2
She said a little bit when we, we started talking about the, the 12 for 12 and the, and the H one. Yeah.

[00:46:50:09 – 00:47:04:16]
Speaker 1
I mean, we can do whatever, whatever you want to do, but I think we’ve done a couple of them that you have to be a member on YouTube or a Patreon subscriber to hear or watch. So I figured we’d just do a regular one right here where people can see they can see what they’re missing.

[00:47:04:16 – 00:47:34:10]
Speaker 2
Yes. Yes. No, I do have one, uh, ready to go. So, um, and for those who are, who are new to the show, this is just me ranting a little bit. I drive a lot. Which is unusual for you. I know, right? He’s normally such a calm, late back kind of guy. Uh, no, so I drive around. I drive around a lot. My previous job, I was, uh, it was a 40 mile commute, one way door to door. So, uh, you know, I was on the road for three hours a day, minimum my last job.

[00:47:34:10 – 00:47:35:05]
Speaker 3
For kills.

[00:47:36:05 – 00:48:04:16]
Speaker 2
Haudly enough. And I mean, not that they can pin them anyways. Um, and so, and with this job, I’m on the road all day long anyway. So I see it all, I see it every day. And, and there’s just some things to just kind of get underneath my skin and, and I just stew on them for a little bit. I’ve got pet peeves and, and things like that. So, um, I decided to roll it into a segment here on the show, uh, give myself an outlet for all of this pent up anger. And I call it, fuck you, fuck you, fucking fuck.

[00:48:06:13 – 00:49:35:27]
Speaker 2
So this week’s fuck you, you fucking fuck is going to go out to those ever so special individuals who decide that at the very last minute, they forgot the difference between left and right. And we’ve all seen this plenty of times, right? Where they go into the left lane and not even in the left turn lane. And, and it’s like, okay, you’re going to be there. That’s fine. Maybe you’re going to come up here and you’re going to take a left for a minute. No, because in three blocks overcomes the right hand turn signal. And from the left lane, they cut across two or three lanes of traffic to make themselves, uh, into the drive-through or whatever. Oh, fuck you. You fucking fuck. Who doesn’t know the difference between left and right. You knew damn good and well where you were going and where it was going to be on the road that you were traveling. I’ve been behind you for three and a half miles already. I know exactly where we’re going. You, however, just suddenly forgot which side of the street McDonald’s is on. You knew you were going there. You knew you were hungry. You know, you were out forgetting, getting something to eat and there you’re the only person in the car. There’s not like, Hey, I got an idea. Cindy, let’s go here instead. Last minute. No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no. You knew that you were going to McDonald’s. You knew that it was on the right hand side and why you got in the left hand lane is beyond me because you don’t know how to fucking drive to begin with. So you should stay out of the left hand lane, stay in the right hand lane. In fact, just stay home altogether because fuck you. You fucking fuck. You don’t know how to drive and how dare you try to make a right hand turn from the left hand lane.

[00:49:38:17 – 00:49:41:04]
Speaker 2
Sorry. These things they get to me.

[00:49:41:04 – 00:50:05:27]
Speaker 1
I just, this makes me so angry. So, uh, I suspect that people in the future, as soon as the full self driving is a big deal, uh, that they’re going to put QR codes on their vehicles and it’s going to be helped me pay for full self driving because then that will remove all this. Bullshit making these last minute decisions and everything else.

[00:50:05:27 – 00:50:42:00]
Speaker 2
It’s going to really bring down go fund me, you know, this could be this, these crowdfunding, uh, websites. They’re just going to crash because there’s going to be so many people out there. That’s like, I just, I just, I just can’t, I can’t drive anymore. There’s just too much. It’s just too much. And it’s like, yeah, no shit. You shouldn’t be driving to begin with these people who are absolutely frightened to be on the freeway. Oh, I could go off for another hour about these motherfuckers, but no, it’s, it’s, uh, they’re, they’re out there. We’re plagued with them. And I’m sure some of you out there who are just as oblivious as these people who I’m bitching about don’t see it as much as I do because

[00:50:42:00 – 00:50:47:18]
Speaker 1
they’re, they’re complaining about those people. Then they’re doing the same thing. My wife’s off and reminds me of this.

[00:50:47:18 – 00:50:50:11]
Speaker 2
Because how dare I do 47 and 35.

[00:50:50:11 – 00:51:00:21]
Speaker 1
Oh yeah. Yeah. And then they’re going to be in the lane to slow you down because they are, uh, frustrated. Want to be police officers. Oh yes.

[00:51:00:21 – 00:51:12:06]
Speaker 2
Those, oh, don’t get me started about those in the, in the fast, in the fast lane who are trying to dictate how fast everybody else is going on. I don’t need to, you fucking fuck for those.

[00:51:12:06 – 00:51:14:29]
Speaker 1
You don’t need to be going that fast. How dare you?

[00:51:14:29 – 00:51:20:07]
Speaker 2
Oh yeah. I might say, I might save that for a, for a special edition next week. That’s what we’re going to do.

[00:51:20:07 – 00:51:28:24]
Speaker 1
This is one of the, one of the great reasons for us being a republic, not a democracy. Can you imagine people voting for how fast you could go, how fast you could drive?

[00:51:28:24 – 00:51:38:08]
Speaker 2
Well, I think there’s a few of us out there that are like me that are at least know, know that the, the speed limit is more of a suggestion than a, than a, oh yeah.

[00:51:38:08 – 00:51:52:20]
Speaker 1
It’s a recommendation. Yeah. Uh, do you know, Texas state law is actually, I need to look this up to verify, but Texas state law actually is, uh, you can drive as fast as what you want to drive as long as it’s safe.

[00:51:53:28 – 00:52:07:25]
Speaker 1
So they do have a speed limit. They will pull you over and give you a ticket, but you can argue in court, it was a bright sunny day, or it was 3 AM in the morning. And there was literally no cars on the road between Winnie and Beaumont.

[00:52:07:25 – 00:52:37:22]
Speaker 2
The pavement is dry. I’ve got when this speed limit was initiated, the cars on the road had four drum brakes. I’ve got four disc brakes. I’ve got airbags. It is far more safer for me to travel at 95 miles an hour down the freeway than it was at 55 miles per hour when this freeway was built and these stupid signs were put up to limit how fast I can travel. No, I’m completely ignoring those. It feels comfortable to travel at 88 miles an hour. So that is how fast I am going to go.

[00:52:37:22 – 00:52:42:22]
Speaker 1
Oh, and I think the yellow, I think it’s the yellow signs that have speed limits on them.

[00:52:42:22 – 00:52:46:18]
Speaker 2
Those are recommended. Those are not hard.

[00:52:46:18 – 00:52:51:29]
Speaker 1
But this is what I’m saying. In Texas, the speed is all recommendations.

[00:52:51:29 – 00:53:06:02]
Speaker 2
Oh, well, I remember when you first, when you and I first started recording, you were talking about living in Texas and how everybody has handed the gun once you move in there and it’s used for signaling and it’s two shots for the left and one shot for the right. That’s just how it’s done in Texas.

[00:53:06:02 – 00:53:10:27]
Speaker 1
Yeah, because you always need two shots for the left. That was part of the joke.

[00:53:13:22 – 00:53:41:24]
Speaker 1
Oh, boy. Well, that’s it for this evening. Hopefully you guys are enjoying this. Josh, thank you so much for being back. I’ll be able to enjoy the co-hosting with you. And it’s great. I’m so glad.
