All right Natalie, so what you just got back from Great Smoky Mountain Jeep invasion But something interesting happened at last year’s Great Smoky Mountain Jeep invasion that I want to talk about first Yes, so, you know, we just celebrated a birthday a first birthday of gear vehicles It was born at Great Smoky Mountain Jeep invasion last year in 2024 and it was amazing It came full circle this year. There they were. We had four gears at the Leconte Center and It was just really neat to be able to see you know The birthplace and that idea that happened on a trail ride bringing the adventure back to Jeep and now here we are

How did they come about I mean it’s a birthday, but how did the gear vehicles come about?(…) So, you know, Mike Bailey and I had the opportunity to take out some of the Jeep performance parts representative So Jim Allen was there Jeff Pratt some of the other guys Jerry Wolford, of course and they all wanted to go on a trail ride and some this is the one trail somehow Mike remembers I mean, I’m our Nattie navigation But he did not need a map for this for the hurricane trail And you just leave pigeon foraging just go out through Gatlinburg and just keep driving and we took about eight jeeps Including a concept that Jim was driving that really cool blue J8 That thing was really neat to see Really cool. So we took them out on a trail ride and end up on this huge overlook overlooking the highway actually I call it like the buzzards overlook. I don’t know the official name, but I think it’ll work tonight You know what the buzzard overlook. Yeah, just on it. Just that’s what it’s No one knows no one knows so on the buzzard overlook and you know everyone to start talking about You know, what can we do with Jeep performance parks and the mopar affiliate program? to really showcase the parts that are involved from worn to Bill Stein and Rock side engineering and all these amazing parts that you can actually get through, you know I just jumped this interrupt us here a second. I didn’t really know until relatively recently Yes that all these companies are part of Jeep performance parts. So like windshield defense. Oh my gosh racing optics I mean all these really cool brands are working their way into the program to be certified through Mopar And the offer of dealerships with the warranty. That’s the biggest thing, right? When we buy our jeeps off the showroom floor, we want that warranty And I think I found out that what this means is if it’s JPP and you’re buying your Jeep from a JPP Associated they’re not all associated with JPP, right? They’re not they want to be and that’s okay. Just ask and you can get it Yeah So but you go in and you put you guys have the especially if you’ve gone into a Jeep dealership and you’re buying parts Actually OEM parts sensors usually is what I’m buying for the XJ You’ll see the Mopar stuff over there and and that’s what we’re talking about, right? That’s the JPP stuff It is it’ll have the logo actually it’s on my sweater right here. So what it actually looks like is a gear Well, that’s that’s the gear vehicles But what I was pointing out here is that all these companies are going through JPP. So yes, you can buy these things at the at the dealerships(…) Yes, and logo is a gear. That’s what I’m saying. That’s how we came up with the name. Oh(…) Yeah, I thought you I thought you’re doing the sales thing getting it back Let’s get this thing back over to the gear. I want to talk about the gear But that was how that’s one reason how we came up with it because J Performance parts is so integral and intricate into the gear program, but it was a way to help showcase Just a handful of the Mopar affiliate partners so you can buy these parts and yes with the gear With buying the gear vehicle, which is a it’s a Jeep with a lot of these

Aftermarket parts that are through JPP already installed. Yeah, and they’re already installed so you can buy a Completely configured ready to go off-road Jeep. That’s what you guys are selling with the gear vehicle. Absolutely From gear one all the way up to gear three Every single one is extremely capable to go off-road. What does that mean? What is one through three main? So we have first gear because we have to shift gears, right? So first year is your base package. We only really offer that on a sport the sport package or Sahara So essentially a non lockard Jeep, right? And it gives you your you know, your first build the lift wheels tire bumper upgrade As well as your interior with your grab handles. The grab handle the ocean handle Yeah,(…) because people will understand what was that was a grab oh shit But I think what’s so special about gear first gear year one Is the brand new rock side engineering steps and it is a co-brand So you will have their brand on there with the JPP logo But these steps is that first level of step where they’re not a power step so they don’t just drop down when you open the door It’s that perfect, you know the rock rail with your your four inch or a seven inch drop But these are actually detachable so you won’t have the crunched step if you do decide, you know What I’m gonna take that first off-road trip We’re gonna go on the fire roads and just trying to be a couple of obstacles Maybe a Jeep jamboree and you’re gonna smash those steps But now they’re detachable with the same tool kit that you get to take your hardtop off and your doors So that’s a little drop down things that we always preach about here on the Jeep talk show about what not to do I saw those I saw those that were on rocks light on Instagram the other day Yes, and I thought it was April Fool’s Day No, because they would not be selling rock sliders with steps, but I saw they were removable and easily removable That’s the big they’re so easy to remove even I can do it Tony

So that’s nice because because there’s some people that either need the assistance in getting in or feel that they do and It’s better to not be nervous about knowing you can get in and out of your Jeep. Yes falling on your face Yeah, all right. So that’s gear one. What size what size tires come with a gear one? 35 Mickey Tom’s Reins, yep gear one and gear two both come with the Mickey Thompson 35 all-terrain, which makes it really nice So you’re still getting that really great aggressive Sidewall look and you definitely know you’re leaving the lot with an upgrade right and I want to make sure that everybody’s clear on this We say this all the time every Wrangler or gladiator when it leaves the factory is off-road capable This is just making it more. So these are some Add-ons that you you don’t have to pay for because you’re buying it with the Jeep and it’s finance It’s ready to go. So if you get your lift you get a lift with it, too Yeah, the bill signed 5100 shock so you’re already upgrading that shock. It’s an amazing first build It was essentially what I did when I first got off-roading and this is a brilliant idea because you’re taking All the concern about what if it goes on here what what what about the people that are installing it? You know because you never know what shop what the shops gonna do until you use them you don’t and all this stuff is backed So you know, it’s gonna be done correctly. So there’s people that you earn to go to EJS They go. I got to go to EJS. I got to go to Moab I want to do that, but I can’t go out there at a stock vehicle you can but I understand This is a way to have the Jeep and it’s gonna stand out because it’s gonna be modified for your first trip to EJS It is I think with this modification It also protects your investment because that’s also the goal behind These modifications that we do is to help protect your vehicle when you’re going off-road It’s like adding the lockers that helps with your gears and your axles and it takes that strain away But even just adding, you know, the two-inch lift with the the bill sign shocks and then those 35s Your game to just to do just about anything. I ran that set up for four years and I mean it it changed my life. Look what I’m doing now. So here we are All right, so that’s gear one gear to you say here. Yeah the gear you’re gonna scare people I made a comment on a post that That the rock right slight engineering made about gears. I said you guys are gonna freak people out thinking the gears Oh, this is autumn the manual transmission. I can’t drive that thing. So it says gears but it doesn’t have to be manual shifting So it does not We even go into the 4 by e world who knew yeah, so okay that recall still going on Tony from a year ago I haven’t seen anything more about it. Maybe they just left it with don’t you don’t don’t use the batteries and keep it parked outside(…) Not close to your house. I think that was my favorite Don’t park it inside your garage where it could just combust and just burn everything down. So it’s fine It’s like the dumpster fire. Everything’s fine So gear one and then gear two I said already also comes with 35. So what else is different on a gear? Too it does come with the 35s and fuel wheels with the gear logo on them All the custom badging is my favorite. So that’s really cool. It is Javier did an amazing job. Let’s be honest I’m huge fan as you guys know Javier who works the house off-road. So he we share a desk line still you never mention him It’s so strange. I know right my buddy. So he So with that the signature series that was really the first of it We actually developed the two before this the first one or the third one makes sense Yeah so you know middle middle of the road but the 35 tires that 17 wheel and then the two and a half lift from the Mopar lift that you can actually buy on your own and install that lift yourself, but it will have the bill Stein 51 60 shocks With the reservoir so you get that really extra added(…) Cushion and also it just looks cool. Let’s be honest the reservoir can look Oh, yeah, no the people at the mall love the reservoir They do don’t even pull up if you don’t have the reservoirs I know right does you’re not even here to play and then also the major rock side engineering products. So they feature Three different things. I’m sorry. Well potentially four So starting with your front aluminum bumper as well as your rear aluminum bumper and then the power step(…) Those epic power steps So it really is a major feature I think for now some people may not know about the rock rock slide engineering Rockers now, I will say I don’t particularly care for the price on the rock slide engineering They’re very expensive in my opinion But they are well built and if and you can take them off road and they will support the weight of your Jeep And they will protect it from getting into your doors and your rocker panels and everything They’re very good. Yeah, and they stand behind their products. If something happens, they’re there to help you and warranty ish I mean they are they are the first of you know We’re gonna overnight this to you and they want to see their product working. They don’t want to have it No, no and the the the bottom of the slider actually drops down when you open and close the door So it has a step a long step built into it that you can actually use Yeah with the light the light is huge for me because it is dark out. Oh my yeah Well, and if you can’t see the light hitting anything you go. Well, that’s right. I am off camber here So this is you are four foot drop You know I do like that you can actually turn them off to my ships and gears yesterday and I made sure to turn off each side to Make sure that when they were being loaded and unloaded that step wouldn’t drop down and get damaged So I think it’s great that you have control over it It’s just not all the time which makes it nice Yeah You do need that because you could get in some situations where you open the door and you don’t want them to extend Yeah, but but in daily driving there you get there you have your step to get in and out So on did you say what with the the tire size on the gear three is? Well the gear well, we’re talking about gear two still so there’s one more thing. Okay, so gear three We’re gonna get to that one’s that one’s the big boy. So gear two rockside does offer the cow lighting as well So you can do an a pillar pod light from Baja designs that are for off-road use only Here’s your legal disclaimer off-road use only with your pod lights on your a pillar Can I share something real quick about off-road use only?(…) So more than likely the police officer unless he’s right behind you Will not know where the light came from if you just turn it on on and off really quick really quick Hey, they start looking around just don’t do it. We’ve all done it. Just don’t do it again for at least the 30 seconds for a minute Yeah, yes, I accidentally turn mine on tonight. I press the wrong button. So I was like, oh gosh, and this is you know Quick flicker, but you know off-road use only that’s my disclaimer. It gets people’s it gets people’s attention depending How many hundred thousand lumens you have it’s it’s so much fun. But anyway, I would never do that But I will tell you side note everybody. This has been a major legal undertaking like making sure all of our photos that you know Javier and I are working on and we have to put disclaimers on some Of these photos where you know, if it’s just our normal builds We don’t have to do that But because we’re working with the dealerships and coming direct from factories you have to really take a lot of care It’s like the McDonald’s Cup caution. All right, good so it’s got the Baja design the lights on the a-pillar What else you guys and a light bar you got to have your light bar into your bumper No, is it a bar or the round lights? It is it’s a it’s an actual bar that inserts into the the bull hook I guess people like to call that the bull hook of the bumper. So it makes it it’s a nice line deal Yep, not roof level light bar. Nope down in the down low is a good idea. What color is it? Black outline so it all matches but I mean, is it a yellow is it amber light or is it? No amber. It’s the white. Yeah, it’s the white so it looks really good I mean, it’s definitely it ups the any you don’t have to have the light package if you don’t want to Okay, so this is configurable you can’t Okay, there’s different price points for the dealerships which also then of course transcends to the customer So, you know You can kind of customize the two however you want the one you only have one option and you don’t have to do the cat skin Leather if you don’t want to but so far everyone is opting to do Absolutely. If you’re gonna buy a gear vehicle get it where it’s nice on the inside and the outside There’s nothing wrong with the with jeeps interior, but the cat skin we’ve interviewed them. Absolutely

Windchill windshield wipers that are coming now on the Jeep. They actually say Jeep on the wiper What makes it so cool is they have little holes in them and that’s where your fluid comes out So when your wiper is going it’s actually coming out through the wiper. It’s no longer spraying from the jet

So cool and they had a display in our booth in the mopar JPP booth at Smoky Mountain Jeep invasion and they actually use cocoa powder and water to create a mud that goes on their Windshield to use for the display. So it smelled amazing a bit. No, you needed was popcorn You just kind of all you did take the popcorn a windshield, you know If the mud doesn’t come off and maybe there’s a chip in there The best thing you could do is use your windshield defense system from racing optics and pull the film off Yeah, I’m standard on the two we’re advertising for windshield defense racing optics with that said I will tell you is It’s a really really good idea I mean on a Jeep Jeep windshields crack and I guarantee you’re gonna cry more if it’s a gear Jeep in the windshield tracks So it’s a good thing that the windshield defense is on there They you know, they’re great people as well and they’re they believe in their product they they have sent Some of their guys out to train our team as well and such an exciting time for them to be you know They they care about what they’re doing. They care about what product is going on these vehicle. It’s not just Jeep I mean like we said racing optics they’re used in racing. So these things are one. Yeah are tested Much more rigor than you driving your Jeep down the highway. I mean a little bit Yeah, we care about that, but they’ve been doing this this stuff for a long time. So yeah I think it’s great that you guys are using them. Well, Tony. They’re excited to work with you let me tell you we had we I was at a dinner, you know these awesome dinners and They were it when we figured out we know the same people It got very exciting and I definitely got a little high-pitched when I was like, you know, Tony. Oh my god(…) but they are very excited to work with Jeep talk show and with you and Can’t wait to see you already have it on your gladiator or no. Not yet. Best known as of right now with off-road and chill done. Tada So offer and chill is driving the third gear EV or 4 by E version They just had it when rock and it dominated trail 15. They did not need one chain you know as I told them they’re going back to their roots with this one because it comes on 37 mud terrains and You know, they everyone’s been wheeling on 40s 42s, you know these big(…) Monsters, but then you get back to your roots a little bit and you got to earn it So it really shows what you’ve been doing for this is probably a little more challenging for them It is instead of their point. Yeah. Yes, they are loving it It’s you know, I I told them they were gonna have a feeling after conquering their first obstacle I know I did my EJS especially doing escalator when I did escalator in the gear 3 I can believe I cried I was so emotional because it was just you know this Jeep you can buy off the lot fully Financed and go take it on escalator or trail 15 at windrock one of the hardest trails on the East Coast So after a major rainstorm, by the way, it was flooding in Smoky Mountain Jeep in there heard about I don’t know I’m using my magic wand right now. Sorry everybody, but yes, so And they killed it. They did a great job. So 37 mud terrains coming standard on a you know, an awful lot Jeep Heck yeah, that’s brand new. That’s the key brand new not used See, this is a thing that I and I’m not telling you anything new or the whole team that came up with us But this is the thing there’s there’s people I think you enjoy building your Jeep I do picking this stuff out that’s gonna go on there and that’s absolutely the way I like it Of course, I’m poor so I have to do it that way. I have to get a budget build Yeah, I have to do get a cheap Jeep and then add stuff to it, but it’s fun(…) But there’s that’s not everybody Some people the people that buy Rubicon’s the people that can afford it or maybe they just got good credit and they can’t afford it They want they want something that they can go out there and drive. I just don’t want them to get ahead of themselves But they can actually Correct me on this but they could actually use high lift to learn how to use that gear(…) Off-road as well. All right, and we are of course promoting that of course Because you you and no matter what Jeep you get it’s like, you know, you get you get your Jeep and it’s like What do we do next from how do I really put it in for high and for low? And when do I actually use for low and you know, there’s always these questions And I think it’s so important to find places that will help you understand your questions and learn(…) Especially in a free atmosphere. Forever that’s right, you know, that was a cool moment, too So Matt was in charge of that vehicle on his trailer with the gladiator and I had the gear Jeeps with me In my epic 40-foot bumper pool because who does that? And people were snapping photos at Bucky’s in Kentucky and we’re now seeing those posts cuz like circulating So it’s kind of fun. It’s so funny because I don’t like I mean road trips are fun, but but driving a long time Yeah, but driving the gladiator to Moab Yeah, oh I would do that every year. I might do it twice a year it’s just so nice being at Moab and Tennessee is a beautiful place too And I probably would want to go to win rock and go wheeling But that’s kind of always the problem I had with great Smoky Mountain Jeep invasion is there’s no wheeling It’s it’s a really is a lot of roads. Yeah, I’m wheeling with Warren is on Sunday, which is pretty cool So you get to go and I mean, that’s a big one It’s really really big but it’s really more I think about like the pavement time and the parties and you go to Quaker second lube and that’s a big party Atmosphere and the whole cruising the strip and I mean they had over 30,000 Jeeps this year It was wild and the Bears the Bears were in full force this year Do not leave your Jeep open anybody everybody because they will get in and they did so I didn’t think it was football season I was wondering what you time actual actual bears So it does definitely sound like it’s something fun to do I think it was somebody asked me recently if we if we have booths at these things And and I think I told them that well, we really can’t afford to do that But that is something we would like to do in the future I think it’d be a lot of fun to set up a booth For the Jeep talk show put some loudspeakers up and have people sit down and be interviewed You got you do something similar with Detroit for fest which is coming up Tony.
