but check outside. Uh, unofficial use only, uh, is going to be outside at the great smoky mountain Jeep invasion. All right. So back to the, back to the 392.(…) So Jeep lied about the 392. Um, and I think it was smart that they, they, they can take the criticism for the lie because they’re going to continue doing the 392. And not only are they doing the 392 and the Wrangler, they’re going to be putting it in a gladiator. At least that’s the rumor. Uh, they’re talking about putting a V eight, uh, back in the grand Cherokee.
If you’re ready for the great outdoors, make sure your truck is too. Ready to haul, ready to tow, and ready to take along everything you need for a day on the water or a daybreak in the woods. Hey, welcome to another episode of the Jeep talk show. This is our flagship episode. It’s a new show
(Explosion)
on discord about, uh, they don’t mind reruns, but dammit, would you say it’s a rerun, uh, they don’t want to start while watching or listening to it only to find out the thing, I think I remember this. I think I remember seeing this. I think I remember hearing this. Oh, dammit. It’s a rerun. So yeah, that’s a, that’s good feedback. I didn’t think about that. It’s hard enough doing all this stuff and not thinking about it from the end user standpoint. So whenever you give me feedback, I like it. It helps. It helps you let help me help you anyway, on this, uh, this episode of the Jeep talk show, by the way, I’m alone today. Uh, basically means I’m unsupervised, which is slightly worse than whenever I have somebody here supervising me. But anyway, uh, I’m unsupervised is because everybody’s getting ready for the great smoky mountain Jeep invasion. Uh, April, I wasn’t able to be here. So, uh, uh, I’m not going to be recording with her for flagship two. Uh, and, uh, Greg, uh, the, from, uh, the platinum off road drive train, he’s got some things going on, so he wasn’t available, but the show must go on. Right. All right. So tonight we’re going to be talking about the EPA.(…) It’s good.
(…)
Don’t freak out. Don’t moan. Go. Oh no. It’s actually really, really good news. I’m going to talk some more about the, uh, the three 92, the V eights in Jeeps. Are they staying? Are they going? You already know the answer to this. I know because it’s, it’s, it’s big news. Uh, and, uh, but I have my opinions that, uh, that you might want to hear my take on it, uh, you’ve, you’ve seen what everybody else has to say about it. I’m excited. And I’ll just say, I don’t mind being lied to.
(…)
So, uh, with that, let’s get this show on the road or this road on the show.
All right, before we go too far into the show, let’s welcome our newest Patreon subscriber, Stefan Abner. Grok, would you do the honors and welcome Stefan in here? Yo, Stefan Abner, you crazy son of a bitch. Welcome to the Jeep Talk show madness. Dropping a full year’s Patreon sub up front? That’s some big d*** energy, my man. You’re now part of our off-road, tire screeching, mud-flinging lunatic asylum. Picture this. You’re blasting through the trails in a souped up Jeep. Spark plugs up your ass for extra horsepower, blasting a death metal banjo cover of sweet Caroline while we narrate your epic ride like it’s the f*** apocalypse. Stefan, you’re locked in for 12 months of pure, unhinged Jeep chaos. Think monster truck orgies or me teaching you how to j*** off with a torque wrench. What’s the first trail you want to tear up with us, you glorious madman?(…) But can you switch hands and gain a stroke is what I’m saying. All right, well, Grok, that was totally uncalled for, but welcome, Stefan. We really appreciate you being a Patreon subscriber. And if you’d like to be disrespected by Grok here, you can become a Patreon subscriber today.(…) Just go over to JeepTalkShow.com slash contact to find out how to subscribe. We really appreciate our subscribers.
All right, I recently wrote an article and posted it up on LinkedIn and it’s actually a page that is on the Jeep Talk Show website, jeeptalkshow.com. So basically I’m calling Jeep a liar because they told us the 392 was the final edition. I know we’ve talked about this before, but this is a big deal. And I think that it is, I think it bids our bodes well for the customer at Jeep Talk Show. You know, a lot of things went wrong over the last several years with Stellantis. And I might, I might even weigh in saying that the Stellantis is probably when it started going wrong.
(…)
Just the wrong, I don’t want to say the wrong people as much as it was the wrong mindset. I don’t think any one person made this decision. I think that they had a plan that they were going with and it was the plan that was the flaw.
(…)
I don’t, I believe that I think that’s a fair thing to say, not being involved in it. I think there was some, some good people at the helm and I think they got rid of some good people that they probably shouldn’t had if they wanted, except they wanted to change the plan and the plan didn’t work.
(…)
And I’m pretty sure that if they had spoken with the American people, they probably would have found that the, the American, that the plan for Americans was not going to be good.
(…)
Now I will remind you that whenever the, the new Cherokee came out, what is it? The KL came out, Josh and I, a past co-host, we’re very down on that. We thought it was a horrible idea that it wouldn’t do very well. And it was kind of the opposite. The new Cherokee actually did very well. It just wasn’t what Josh and I liked. So it very well could have gone the same way with this plan that they had, that they were carrying out. It could have gone very well for Jeep and Stellantis, but it didn’t. And I think there’s more layers to it than just the plan. It probably has to do with the way the economy was. It was, there was rampant inflation over the last four years.
(…)
And there’s a lot of things that have happened that could, it could be all part of the problem for a Jeep losing lots of money. And we don’t want them to, we want them to be successful. But at the same time, we want them to be successful for us, the, the user, the end user. Actually I was talking today with Chris who by the way, will not be going to the Great Smoky Mountain Jeep invasion this Thursday and Friday. So I’m sad, but we have, we have several people out there representing us. I know unofficial use only Greg is going to be out there. He’s and as we told you in our, or as we’ve mentioned before on the past roundtables, he probably will have some JK door pockets out there. So if you’re going and maybe you didn’t listen to this till after the, after the show, and that’s your fault. If you’re going, that might be your opportunity to see the door pockets, the JK door pockets for the, for the first time. And they have the, I’m sure they’re going to have the JT and JL door pockets out there, but, but check outside. Unofficial use only is going to be outside at the Great Smoky Mountain Jeep invasion.
(…)
All right. So back to the, back to the 392.(…) So Jeep lied about the 392. And I think it was smart that they, they, they can take the criticism for the lie because they’re going to continue doing the 392. And not only are they doing the 392 and the Wrangler, they’re going to be putting it in a gladiator, at least that’s the rumor. They’re talking about putting a V8 back in the grand Cherokee.(…) And I’ve already called for,(…) and in this article that I did, it’s up on LinkedIn and on a page here on the Jeep talk show website, I have called for them to do something ludicrous,
(…)
ridiculous. Put a 392 in a JL. Yes, a two door. And if you want to shave off the weight of the vehicle at the same time, that would be great. I think it’d be really fun to see a JL with a JL two door jail out on the track with a 392 and just busted a nut going as, you know, zero to 60 and two seconds and doing the quarter mile and at 115 miles an hour. Wouldn’t it be cool if it got tens and a quarter mile? I don’t think it’s going to be. Maybe if they put a big, a big scoop around it so that it would make it more aerodynamic, that would work. But I think that would be really cool. So anyway,(…) sometimes we can be lied to and we like it. And I think that that is the case here. And I’m going to say that it’s not just a way to make money, which is the ultimate goal. That’s how you measure if you’re winning.
(…)
But I think this has to do, or I like to think this has to do with giving the consumer what they want. And I do believe that we want the V eight and the Hemi is just a amazing engine to do that. Now with that said, I’d like to see a hurricane engine stuck in a Wrangler. I’d like to see a hurricane engine stuck in a gladiator. The hurricane engine is amazing.(…) It’s not going to sound as cold as that three 92. It’s not going to have the word Hemi on it, but we’ve, you’ve heard from several people, including Greg Henderson, unofficial use only just how wonderful the hurricane engines are. I can’t remember if it’s bill or John. I think it’s bill that has a wagon near another grand wagon there, but a wagon near with a hurricane engine. And he was towing his three 92 around and it towed wonderfully. So I think they have a really, really nice straight six. Again, I just wish it was 4.0 liter instead of a 3.0 liter. I think that’s right. 3.0.
(…)
So more internal combustion engine opera options. Absolutely essential, I think to the going forward, especially as we see fuel prices come down and hopefully they’ll go lower. And the American people have a love for trucks and Jeeps.(…) And of course they’re, they’re gas guzzlers.
(…)
So yeah, give us what we want. Now the next thing I’ll mention, and I didn’t mention this in a, in the article, but I did mention it today on the phone with, with Chris,(…) I think that a mistake that Jeep is making is selling these V8 Hemi powered machines in the hundred thousand range.
(…)
I know that’s there to make profit, but I’m never going to buy a Wrangler or a Gladiator with a Hemi in it. Not because I don’t want one, but there’s no way in the world I can justify spending a hundred thousand dollars, even $90,000 for a Jeep, especially for something that I want to take off road.
(…)
Perhaps if I was a multimillionaire, it’d be a no brainer, but somebody that doesn’t make a lot of money, doesn’t have a lot of disposable income. It’s important to me, but so, so, okay, that’s fine. It’s like, okay, well we’re not selling it to you because you’re not going to buy it. Well there’s another problem I see that with that. I think that the hundred thousand dollar price tag makes it makes me feel as a consumer, a Jeep supporter and consumer that their Jeep is pricing me out of the possibility of having this vehicle.
(…)
So I have to go with something that is a V6 or something, a diesel or something along those lines because there’s no possible way of me having this. I think they’re making a mistake there.(…) I think that if you’re selling a Rubicon, let’s say you sell a Rubicon Gladiator, what are they? $50,000, $60,000?
(…)
They’re expensive. They’re very expensive, but people are buying the Rubicons and they continue to buy the Rubicons. Great Jeep. Great Jeep. JL, JLU, Rubicons. Okay. So instead of making the Hemi powered Rubicon $100,000,(…) why don’t you add $10,000 to it? Maybe 15.(…) So whenever you go to buy that Rubicon, it’s like, well, I could spend another 10 or $15,000 and get a Hemi. I get the power. I get the torque and I get that sound. And I’m in a exclusive crowd to have a V8 powered Wrangler and it’s going to hold its resale value better because it has a Hemi in it because people are still, there’s going to be people that won’t spend another 10 or $15,000 for it. So you’re going to kind of be in that, still be in that exclusive club. And that is tantalizing while you’re there at the dealership and you’re looking at the Rubicon and you go, this is wonderful. This is exactly what I want. And the salesman goes, you know, for another $10,000, you can get it with a Hemi. And maybe they throw some other things in there, you know, put 35s on it and a nice set of wheels and you know, so on and so forth. Maybe throw in the Jeep talk show as a something that is right in there on the entertainment system. Let’s see what I did there. So, but, and I think that, I mean, I don’t want, I don’t want Jeep losing money, but I think they could sell it for another 10 or $15,000. I mean, if you work for Jeep, you know, send me an email, let me know what, what reasonable it would it be to set this up on its work. And now you get more of the 392s out there, which generates more people. Oh, you, Bob got a 392 Rubicon.(…) Holy crap. And they only come in red. Well, I’ll buy it anyway. Yeah. That’s another idea I have for you, Jeep. I’ll only sell the, the three 90 twos with in red Jeeps. Uh, but anyway, so think about it. Uh, don’t price it so high that it limits the amount of people that can buy one price it a little higher, sucker them into the, uh, well, I can spend another a hundred dollars a month. I can get that three 92. No don’t check the insurance first. And I don’t know if the insurance would be more, but I suspect it would be.
(…)
So what do you, what do you say Jeep red, only, only red Rubicons with the three 92 and put it in a two door and call it in the, the, the, the name on the hood would be the title on the hood would be ludicrous.
(…)
You know, cause the himmy and a two door, a light two door would be ludicrous. I highly recommend it.

Hey Jeepers, Tony here from the Jeep Talk Show. You know what I love about our community? We don’t accept limits. Can’t get there? We’ll make a way. Trail’s too rough? We’ll conquer it anyway. But a busted windshield, that’s one limit we don’t have to accept. Windshield defense by Racing Optics is for the limitless. Triple layered protection that’s been proven in the most demanding conditions. Whether you’re rock crawling in Moab or mudding in the backwoods, this stuff has your back. And when your windshield inevitably takes a hit, because let’s face it, we don’t exactly take the easy route.(…) Just peel off the outer layer and keep pushing forward. No stopping, no compromising, no limits. Your Jeep was built to break boundaries, now your windshield can too. Use code JTS20 at windshielddefense.com for 20% off and free shipping. That’s windshielddefense.com because limits are for other people. Windshield Defense. The clear choice.
All right. I saw this. I think it was on YouTube. I thought, saw this, might’ve been on TikTok.(…) I was amazed by this. It kind of goes along with the things that are happening in our government right now. So I wasn’t super surprised, but I was still very enthusiastic about it. The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, EPA, under Administrator Lee Zeldin proposed on July 29th, 2025 to rescind the 2009 endangerment. Yeah, endangerment. That’s interesting. The 2009 endangerment finding, which declared greenhouse gases like carbon dioxide, a threat to public health, enabling their regulation under a Clean Air Act. If finalized, this would eliminate all greenhouse gas emissions standards for light, medium, and heavy duty vehicles, including Biden’s administration electric vehicle EV mandate. The AP EPA argues this would save 54 billion, that’s billion with a B, annually by removing costly regulations. Though critics note the agency’s own estimate suggests net economic losses when factoring in the health and climate impacts.(…) Okay. So I know that there’s people out there that are sensitive, and maybe we all are, sensitive to the climate and the clean air would be nice. And I, don’t get me wrong, I think clean air is wonderful. Clean water is wonderful.(…) Hell, a clean food is wonderful. Anything that we’re putting into our bodies, whether we eat it or inhale it is, is going to be better for us. But there needs to be a balance. You cannot just say, well, nope, we’re not going to do this because we’re not talking about anybody that’s going to instantly die. I don’t think it’s not like a peanut allergy. That’s going to instantly die. If we do this, we need to have an economy so that we can live and we can make money and we can actually have a life.(…) I’m sure moving into a TP and making our own toilet paper, let’s get the TP reference there, moving into a TP would be healthier for us and the environment.(…) So, but it needs to be a balance. You have to balance it. And I think that it has gone way too far the other way. I absolutely love this idea. I support this idea and I think that the EPA ought to be done away with, frankly.
(…)
Let the states handle it. Let lawsuits handle what the companies do.(…) I think a government entity that does things, it’s almost like a movie critic. Have you ever noticed that movie critics often say how bad the movie is? They pull it apart because if they say, oh, it’s great and I love this part and I love this part, well, then it’s kind of like they’re a fanboy or fan girl for the movie and why listen to them? And also to negativity sometimes has its, uh, has its advantages because people can say, oh, you’re crazy. You’re insane. You, that’s a good movie. And then they interact. So it’s kind of like the modern day, uh, clickbait. So I, I kind of think that the EPA has to do things to make their existence possible. And I think a lot of these things that they’ve done is, is to that end could be wrong. It’s just my opinion. Uh, but, uh, I personally would like to see them go away. Uh, I think they’ve done far too many things, uh, to hurt us, to hurt the economy and hurt America, uh, much more so than cleaning up the air.
(…)
All right. So, uh, and if you disagree, that’s perfectly fine. You’re, you’re entitled to your own opinion. Uh, call in, email us, uh, let us know what you think of it, uh, or just go right there below. Uh, if you’re watching this on YouTube or rumble and put in your comments, tell us what you think about the EPA. Am I wrong about getting rid of the EPA? Uh, would it be something, maybe you have a loved one in your life. Maybe it’s you, uh, that you, you’re fearful of the, the air and the water being dirty and, and it, uh, uh, hurting your life because of some disease that you happen to have. And if you have, uh, the disease because you’ve been smoking all your life, I don’t want to hear from you. You should have stopped that a long time ago. All right. So anyway, uh, Lee Zeldin, uh, uh, mentioned this and, and I need to find the video. If I can find the video, I’ll put up, put it up here in this video. Uh, I remember him saying, uh, no, I’m not talking about this rolling things back. I’m talking about getting rid of them. And it was like, holy crap. When was the last time you heard a public official, especially from the federal government say anything like that. Gonna get rid of the emission standards. Um, that means the vehicles that you’re buying(…) will be cheaper. The manufacturers and the workers that work there are going to be able to make more money. And, um, it’s, it’s just good. And I suspect it probably will increase, uh, fuel economy. So less things to buy, uh, less things to go wrong, uh, less to less, uh, expensive to build. It does not keep them from making EVs. The companies out there that are making EVs like Tesla, they can continue to make that. Um, and you as a consumer make the choice about what you want to do for the environment. It’s not mandated by the federal government. Uh, it is, it’s up to you. And that’s the way it should be. In my opinion, it should be up to the individual consumer. Uh, there’s nobody should be forced to buy an electric vehicle. We all have concerns about EVs. Uh, there are some real, uh, concerns about, uh, where’s the electricity going to come from? Um, personally, I think that, uh, the, uh, the seventies, maybe the back, even back to the sixties, uh, but the, the seventies movie, the China syndrome, uh, hurt the, uh, hurt America from doing nuclear energy. If you want to talk about clean energy, 90, 90% of the time, uh, barring any kind of meltdown, which is, which is a critical thing about barring a meltdown that is really clean energy. And that’s what we need to get back to. We need a lot more electricity. And when we have a lot more electricity, then we can support a lot more EVs. And I think EVs are great. Uh, I recently did, uh, an interview with Brian white of a future Aza and he is very much a, uh, electric EV, a solar panel, a battery technologist. And, uh, I actually spoke with him and talked about, uh, um, Tesla and these other, uh, alternate alternative electricity things, uh, in detail. Uh, that interview is going to be coming up on August 29th. Uh, really very good. It was a complete hour long video, uh, interview. And, um, it was very interesting to me and hopefully it’ll be very interesting to you. And I think you’re going to learn something from it. So I’m very much for EVs. I’m very much for electric vehicles. I’m very much for battery technology. It’s all wonderful,(…) but we as consumers need to be making that choice, not the federal government. It’s like charity.(…) Do you want your local church? Do you want to, as an individual, make the idea or decide where the charity, where the money should be spent for charities, or do you want the government to take your money and give it to who they think the charity should go to? Well, it’s, it’s going to be option a for me every time, uh, especially when the churches are involved, they’re not infallible. Uh, anytime people are involved, there’s a, there’s a potential issue, but it’s a lot better for, for local churches to decide where the money needs to be spent, uh, or local government where the money needs to be spent. And we do need to take care of, uh, segments of our population. So what do you think, um, good thing that the EPA is doing bad thing that the EPA is doing, uh, is it, is it a bad, but be honest, is it a bad thing because Trump bad orange man, bad, if that’s the case, maybe you should, uh, try logic and facts and not just emotion. You can do it. However you want to do it. I’m just saying, I think it’s going to be a good thing. And I’m not for it because I think, uh, you know, orange man, good. I just think it’s good because the consumer needs a choice, not the federal government. This’d be like the DMV making a food choices source. No, thank you. I want to, I’ll go into what restaurant I want to go. Thank you very much.
All right. The Great Smokey Mountain Jeep invasion is this week. Uh, are you going maybe, are you, are you traveling there now? Uh, grok. And you tell us anything about a Great Smokey Mountain Jeep invasion. You know, when is it? Where is it? Uh, and, uh, you know, maybe, maybe what’s tickets? How about parking? What do you do with the Great Smokey Mountain Jeep invasion? Grok.
It’s happening right now, August 21st to 23rd, 2025 at the Lacont Center in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee from 9 AM to 5 PM each day, tickets are $20 per adult per day, $10 for kids six to 12 and free for kids five and under, but you can only buy them at the door, no presale parking’s a bit tricky since Pigeon Forge gets packed, but the Lacont Center has onsite parking though it can fill up fast. Some nearby hotels like Ramada Pigeon Forge North offer parking and are close to the action.(…) Secured trailer parking and VIP parking were available, but sold out online. So you’ll need to check onsite for any last minute spots.(…) As for what to do, it’s a Jeep lovers paradise. You’ve got over 300 vendors selling parts, accessories, and gear for all kinds of jeeps. Wranglers, gladiators, you name it. There’s a show and shine competition where folks show off their custom builds for trophies and cash prizes. You can also join organized group trail rides through the Smoky Mountains, 800 miles of trails. But some require those trails. I think it’s windrock. Those trails are really, really very nice.(…) So, uh, uh, Grock, do you know, uh, what vendors are at? Uh, oh no, actually I was going to ask you, so do you know how many people, uh, went to, to Smoky Mountain Jeep invasion last year in 2024?
(…)
Last
over 50,000 people attended the great Smoky Mountain Jeep invasion, along with more than 22,000 jeeps. It was a record breaking event for the area.
Very, very cool. Thank you, Grock. I appreciate that. All right. So, uh, are you going to great Smoky Mountain Jeep invasion? I hear there’s a lot of great deals. A lot of great vendors that are out there. Um, our, uh, friend of the show and a part time co-host, uh, Greg, uh, uh, uh, uh, Greg Henderson, sorry, Craig, Craig Henderson from unofficial use only is going to be there. Uh, look outside and you’ll be able to find their booth and see the, uh, the JK door pockets and the JT and JL door pockets. Uh, and I believe, uh, the, the, the JK door pockets, the JT and JL door pockets. And I believe, uh, that there is actually a JL with the YJL grill that is installed there at the booth. So if you’re curious about having square headlights for your modern day Jeep, uh, you can, uh, go over there and see how it looks. Uh, Derek, uh, painted, uh, the, the grill to match the rest of the Jeep. And I think it looks pretty damn good. Uh, I do like the square headlights, like on, uh, on the XJ and the YJ. Wasn’t quite sure how I felt about it for the JL and the JT.(…) It looks nice. Go, go check it out. So if you’re going to great Smoky Mountain Jeep invasion, make sure you tell people about the Jeep talk show and say, where the hell are they? Well, we get more, uh, viewers and listeners. We might be able to go next year. Now, uh, truth be told, we do have April, uh, who is a, uh, our flagship to co-host April is out there. You can find her at the Midland booth. That’s a Jeep Daisy. And, uh, you can say hello to her. Uh, you can also go inside where, uh, the, uh, Jeep performance parts, uh, booth or area is, and Natalie with a gear Jeep will be there. Make sure you say hello to Natalie. Natalie, uh, has been on many of our past episodes and continues to be on our Chick Chat episodes. Um, let’s see who else is going to be there. Chris is not going to be able to make it. Unfortunately, uh, some family things came up and he’s taking care of those things, getting his, his kids back in college. Um, who else? So, uh, again, I mentioned Greg. Oh, and Greg said he’s going to have some Jeep talk show stickers. So make sure you find the unofficial use only booth and, uh, grab you a Jeep talk show sticker. Uh, oh, and if you wouldn’t mind, if you do get a Jeep talk show sticker, whether it’s from Natalie, uh, or, or Greg, and you’re going to put it on your Jeep, uh, send us a picture. Uh, love to see that on Instagram. Just do the hashtag Jeep talk show. So, uh, are you going to a great Smoky Mountain Jeep invasion? This comment below and, uh, let us know.
Hey, this is Nicky Jean. Did you know that somebody here in North Carolina recently stole a Jeep Gladiator and used it to commit a crime? Yeah, they stole three tons of hair from a wig factory.
