all of us, right? I have no doubt they’ll replace us for podcasts, but I don’t think and I’ve mentioned this before I believe that I used to work for HP and I worked in the gold level support at HP and the gold level support was a Hall Center in the United States with English speaking people. I don’t mean English being the native language. No, right. The companies would pay for gold level support because they wanted somebody in the USA and they wanted somebody that they could understand, you know, sorry for the folks out there. You’re trying hard. I’m thinking very smart, but it’s hard to understand you. It makes the whole help desk thing an issue, right? Yeah. So anyway, I believe that you’re going to be able to tell or suspect whenever it’s an AI, you know, doing the podcast and especially with the video side of it. Okay. Good. I fully expect that I’ll be able to do a show with a co-host that’s an AI co-host. I still don’t think you can replace like our experience and our knowledge and just, I think the word experience. I mean, they can, you’d be so surprised. I mean, they can get gather from the internet and all the stuff that’s being posted on experiences, but I’m talking about a live person being able to talk and have a communication back and forth. That’s legitimate. Like we’ve been out there doing something or we’ve wheeled or we’ve rebuilt this or rebuilt that, not just some standard, how they think it should be. I don’t know. It’ll be interesting, Tony. You always have your finger on the pulse of what’s happening. So I’ve been very impressed. And right now is, and I think you grancest the other night, Steve, Brock will not shut the hell up.(…) It doesn’t, it reminds me a lot of like, well,(…) big bang theory, right? The social, the social awkwardness of it with the characters that that’s what it reminded me of because it doesn’t recognize when it’s appropriate to respond and when not, right? If there’s multiple, in a multiple group setting. Right.(…) So it does stop talking immediately when it hears something. So if somebody makes a noise on the zoom room, it immediately stops, which is bad. Well, yeah, but they also have Greg pounding away in the shop and every time Greg powered on something, he would stop. That’s how you make it stop talking. Interesting. It’s so upset when he’s muted. He’s over there. Does he do and work and he’s talking and nobody’s saying anything to him?(…) Because I’m the one trying to keep the show moving along. I know. I’m not saying you do the wrong thing. I’m just glad it’s not me.
(…)
All right. Well, let’s get into it. I mean, we’re having too much fun just reminiscing and talking about bullshit. So let’s actually talk about the official bullshit. Yeah, let’s talk about some good stuff. And you guys tell me if you care anything about this Jeep Cherokee relaunch plans amid the financial news. The Lantus confirmed that the all new six generation Jeep Cherokee will arrive in dealerships in late 2025. This revival aims to target the competitive mid-size SUV segment with the model potentially drawing design cues from European market. Here we go. Jeep Avenger.(…) The Cherokee was discontinued two years ago and its return is part of a broader effort to boost US sales.(…) I don’t know. I care. It depends where it’s built because the Cherokees were built about an hour, 15 minutes northeast of me in the Belvedere plant here. Mr. Belvedere. The one named after that.(…) Yes,(…) very much so. Bob Euchre. No, but so that’s I’m kind of interested in this because I’d really like to see the Belvedere plant come back online, obviously, because it’s local economy.(…) Unfortunately, it’s Illinois and we are not very business well, next to California where I think we’re the second one. Right.(…) You know, with the tariffs and stuff that Trump has been doing that might be that might happen. I think Stellantis already lost a bunch of money due to tariffs. So they may be. Yeah. But I mean, specifically Stellantis, which would may may mean that they’re going to build the vehicle here. Well, the final assemblies for the most part have been in the United States. It’s all the components, right? They get into the pieces. Yeah, it would be tough to bring to you. That would be a slow process. But I think the question goes back to do we want the Cherokee relaunched? Because it’s on that Jeep Avenger platform, right? I mean, that’s what they’re taking the design cues from. So is that something that that the U.S. wants? I mean, are people saying, Oh, please bring it back. But OK, so the Cherokee is not going to cannibalize rangers, Wrangler sales, the Jeep we love, right? Correct. Yeah, that’s very true. But not having supplemental income from another line could hurt Wrangler. Could. So that’s that’s kind of the way I look at it. You know what? They want to go sell their Q2 to to whoever it is, the moms, the college, whatever the college gets, whoever it is. If that helps bring in some money where they don’t have to cut costs in the Wranglers, that’s true. Then let it fly. Keeps them afloat. Correct. Yes.
(…)
Yeah, because I definitely don’t want Jeep to go out of business. You know, I’ll call a lot of Tesla type stuff online.(…) And the eating thing I keep hearing is that the Colonel question engine automakers are having a really hard time sales and sales,(…) and they don’t really have any on the horizon. Well, you we’ve heard several several companies like Toyota. Actually, I think Nissan is actually shutting down close one.(…) And so I don’t know that it is. I don’t know that the EVs are the cause for that or not.(…) I if people are indicating that I I’m kind of questioning that I don’t think that I don’t think EVs are where they need to be to replace internal combustion. Yeah. So other things going on. And I think there was a very specific market for that. And I think the market that was interested in that has grabbed what they’re going to. And it’s slowing down as far as that group, right? It’s just like when the Priuses came out, it was a certain, you know, let’s face it, San Francisco, mostly, mostly, right? It was specifically very marketed where I can tell you the Cybertrucks two months ago, they’re all over the place. Now I’m not seeing them so much because that I don’t know, it’s just changing again. Well, and like we said before, Tony, on one of our other episodes, it’s the interest rates to get a new car right now. You know, it’s it’s too high.(…) All of that stuff. So when you when you’re able to spend money, which is, you know, getting loans and being able to, you know, continue to upgrade,(…) everything’s going to slow down. So they’ve got to lower that a lot of crazy shit whenever the interest rates are low. Well, that’s what I’m saying, you know, and so people would be more willing to go and try something new or, you know, get back into it. But most of us are, you know, keeping what we have, making it run and making it work because you’re not going to deal with those interest rates. I mean, the payments are too high. Yeah, I’ll be right there.(…) So, damn it, Steve, I was going to ask you a question about something. Damn it, Steve, what did he do? Right.(…) Well, I was I was paying that your way. That’s his first name. Damn it. And I was paying attention to what you were saying, Wendy. That’s the problem. But that’s good. My wife is screwing me up because you never pay attention to what I’m saying. So I started like I start paying attention that I forget what I was going to say. And I’m sure it was interesting. You know, I’m certain. Of course, it was. All right. Was it about Belvedere? No, it wasn’t Belvedere. So, you know, Bob, you could recently passed away, didn’t he? Within a few months ago. Yeah, it was. Yeah, it was a few months ago. And I actually listen to a lot of his games up here when I was passing through Wisconsin. One of my favorite baseball guys. I’m a big baseball fan. I visited 26 parks now. And he’s just one of the icons of the game. Yeah, he was. I mean, a lot of people don’t know that that he was an actual baseball announcer. He was in the movie. What was the movie he was in with Charlie Sheen and a Major League. Major League. That was a great movie. Funny movie. Yeah, that’s the bit outside. Just a bit outside. So funny, Josh. And I both love that.
(…)
You can’t see that real. What does it matter? Nobody’s listening.
(…)
All right.(…) Well, let’s talk about some recalls here. Over 120,000 Jeep Grand Cherokees and Grand Cherokee L SUVs 2023 to 2024 models were recalled due to faulty second row head seats that may not lock in the upright position. What does this sound like a minor issue? Yes, like seriously for a recall. And they they rag on Jeeps quality quality control. And it’s like, you know, if that’s the only quality control you’re having a problem with. I mean, yeah, it’s not perfect, but come on. So what I does say here that it increases in just in just increases injury, risk and crashes. Owners are advised to check for recalls with free repairs available at dealerships.(…) This part of a broader recall wave affecting multiple brands and G. So it was a probably Ram and a few others there. But this check was to Lantis. If your vehicles in the recall, if you haven’t already been notified. So do they have the part in place to replace it? Because
(…)
badge of honor that she could apply for limited limited, but it was all over the internet. I guess you didn’t have to go on any trail by the way. Just have to log into it. So there’ll be all over you. Based on of course, that’s probably true. April mentioned that I think it was the week before last on a flagship two episode. I hadn’t, I didn’t hear anything about it. Oh really? And I said, yeah. And I said, uh, so I, I’m guessing they’re out of them. She goes, Oh, I think they were out of them with a couple of days. Yeah. They, they sold out. They sold out pretty quick. I mean, they were posting here in Southern California that, you know, if you want to get your badge of honor, you’d got to go now kind of a deal. And I’m thinking what, what trail is that? Well, there isn’t the trail. So I said, no.
(…)
Oh, I don’t know. Uh, and I brag about this. So maybe you have heard it, but I mentioned that Toledo Jeep path should have a badge of honor. Specifically that if you’re in the parade, you should be able to get a badge of honor from, from Jeep. Well, and I, I suspect with them doing this Jurassic park, that that could be a way for them to sort of re-engage everybody by having these different badges of honor that are not a trail related, that it could be an event or a theme. So it could be interesting. And I would think the majority of the people don’t even know about a trail, a badge of honors. And this would be for them to know about it. If they struggle enough fulfilling the regular badges, I’m still waiting. Better. They got a lot better though. About 2023, when I went to EJS, I had been waiting on a badge of honor for a long time. And, uh, all the badges of honor for the, for, uh, uh, Moab came in, uh, at the same time. And that one I had been waiting a couple of years for came in. I think they went with a new company to do it. I’m still waiting on some from EJS this year. Well, they also changed, was it a couple of years ago? They changed the map on it. And I think, like you said, Tony, maybe their vendor who’s providing the badges, but they actually made some adjustments to it. And one thing I didn’t like is when you originally, you’ve got two badges, so you can put them on both sides of the Jeep. Now you only go really, now I’ve got doubles on both of mine. So I don’t like that. My next set of badges I have to get is just single. I’m like, which side am I to put it on? I don’t know. Well, that’s simple. Bill does a one. You do. Yeah, exactly. I need, I need two. They came out with, um, this year at Eastern Ease of Fire, they debuted one year only trails and they’re only good for one year. And I would have thought they would have, well, I thought they would have pre-produced a lot of those because those are the ones I’m waiting on. That would be smart if they did two of those. So they’re, oh, that’s not good. Yeah. And then I’m waiting. I wonder what’s the golden, gold bar rim, which is regular trails. Part of the traffic to this when they’re forever. And that one, I still haven’t gotten. Yeah. There’s the R Kelly one, the golden show.
(…)
Oh boy. You’re jeez Louise.(…) And here goes the show. Oh,(…) emails to that would be fun. Well, that’s a good thing. I don’t have something. I could make some badges, illegal badges,
(…)
thinking badges. All right. So anyway, uh, author off-road enthusiasts noted shifts in preference with some Jeep owners moving away from Warren winches based on recent experiences. Scott, Sean, what did you guys think? You ever, you, everybody’s got a winch here, right? Yeah.
(…)
What do you got Wendy? But, but why? I mean, what’s the comments that they’re saying? It says that it’s Mojave and Lucifer are the colors that they’re coming up with
(…)
for the winch. I’m just kidding. I don’t have the information. Just like the colors.
(…)
Get it. I’m just playing with you. I don’t have the information Mojave. So that’ll be dirt and Lucifer will be red. Okay. Yeah. I was thinking the same thing.(…) I just was curious, you know,(…) Oh, I don’t blame you. I’d be curious too. I just, I just don’t know. I think winches are, you know, it’s like tires, you know, somebody asks, what’s the best one to get? Well,
(…)
there’s a whole list of what the answer is to that. So who knows unless they did something funny or somebody got hurt could be the way that why they’re moving away from it. I mean, I think if Jeep is not providing that in some of their builds, then maybe that’s where they’re walking away from them. But I still think Warren’s around. I don’t think they’re going anywhere.
(…)
So anyway, what do you got Steve? What, what winch do you have? Is it also a Warren? No, I’ve got a Smittybilt at the time I’d just gotten my Jeep and I was putting a lot of money into it. I just couldn’t pull the trigger on the Warren. All right. I’m going to read ahead on this one. Makes sure I don’t have half ass. I think I got full information here. So incentives and deals for August, 2025, Jeep offered cash rebates and lease deals, including up to $6,000 on the 2025 grand Cherokee L and $4,000 the 2024 grand Cherokee four by E plug-in hybrid. Uh, these promotions who sales amid economic pressures. Everybody knows that the 7,500, uh, off your taxes going away for EPs, right? Yeah.
(…)
I think there is good until December 31st. So there probably will be a large wave of purchases for by E and that’s Lizzie. Well, if you are going that route to me, we’ve talked about this before too. So again, if the interest rates are not there in favorable, I don’t care what they throw at it. People aren’t going to do it. I think you’re going to see a surge here again. So when COVID hit in the car market parts became scarce, there was the repair shops were just going crazy, just trying to keep the older vehicles running. I think that’s what’s going to happen here is people are going to be hanging on to their, what they have for longer because that’s the cheaper route to go versus trying to finance a new vehicle. Would you guys say I haven’t anything but a Jeep for the last 30 years. Uh, would you guys say, and maybe the same is true for you, but would you guys say that the vehicles are better made and last longer now or it is to pay? Oh, without a doubt. I ran my grand, you know, I had my XJ, I ran that up to 103,000 before I got the WJ that I ran up to almost 180,000. Um, I got a Ford fusion, 21 Ford fusion, which my son’s going to be taking Arizona with them. That’s got 155 running great.(…) I just did some suspension work and placed the ball joints in the tie rod.
(…)
But otherwise the engines knock on wood, right? Cause you still got to drive to Arizona. It’s running great. I can’t complain.(…) But you still have a lot of more computers now. So how does that factor in? I mean, is, is that, I think it’s good because it makes things run smooth. I think, but people are more dependent on the little, you know, ding, ding, to tell me what’s wrong. Instead of the old ways, we would go, Oh, something doesn’t feel right or doesn’t sound right. So let me go check and I can fix it. So I don’t know. I mean, I think they’re made better, but I don’t know if they’re going to last as long. I mean, look at some of the old vehicles that we have. Question was if they’re made better, they’ll last longer and there, it’s almost a shoot yourself in a foot situation. I remember back when the, the vehicles, if you got to 60,000 miles, you really need to start thinking about replacing it with something.(…) And of course that would have been like late seventies, late seventies, maybe earlier than that. No, about the early eighties seventies. Yeah. So that certainly helped the car business because you know, all those cars they were producing and all the people that were building them, they were, they were having to sell a bunch of cars and have a destiny. So, um, yeah, I mean, uh,
(…)
Hey, what could be better than cruising around in a vintage SUV? How about when that vintage SUV offers a unique open air experience? That’s ideally suited for a warm summer day on bring a trailer this week, two vastly different takes and, uh, on open trailer vintage four by four experience are up for grabs. A 1972 Chevrolet K five blazer and a 1956 Willys Jeep wagon, both offer four wheel drive upright styling, undeniable presence, but, uh, go about their brand of summer fun in entirely different ways.
(…)
One offers the sort of yeehaw fun that Wally, a lifted V eight powered vintage rig can bring. What about the other? Well, that’s more of the farmer’s market utility than pure wheeling capability. And we argue it ends up being more interesting as a result. Are you ready to take on the impossible task of picking a, which of these rigs will maximize your summer four by four fun? And this new series of articles on a real source, we’re asking for some reader, my participation.

Hey Jeepers, Tony here from the Jeep Talk Show. You know what I love about our community? We don’t accept limits. Can’t get there? We’ll make a way. Trail’s too rough? We’ll conquer it anyway. Triple layered protection that’s been proven in the most demanding conditions. Whether you’re rock crawling in Moab or mudding in the backwoods, this stuff has your back. And when your windshield inevitably takes a hit, because let’s face it, we don’t exactly take the easy route.(…) Just peel off the outer layer and keep pushing forward. No stopping, no compromising, no limits. Your Jeep was built to break boundaries, now your windshield can too. Use code JTS20 at windshielddefense.com for 20% off and free shipping. That’s windshielddefense.com because limits are for other people. Windshield Defense. The clear choice.
it should kind of need population growth, uh, to sell cars. They last longer, but they have to last longer. Oh, actually, I remember now, I don’t think that they would have lasted longer if it wasn’t for Japan. Yeah. 100% agree. There goes Japan came along and said, let’s, let’s build some stuff that actually lasts for a good long time. Either tolerances, quality control, so on and so forth. And it’s not like the Americans can’t make amazing things,(…) but why would you want to? It was an American that taught them that system too. That’s the funny part. I didn’t wank it on his name, but he’s one that introduced all the lean manufacturing to them, the quality control and everything. Murano and the like it.
(…)
Yeah. So, but yeah, it’s, it’s interesting. Cause it was, it was definitely upset the market as far as what could be done. Right. Um,
(…)
the, the either Chevy and Ford or the big three didn’t, if they didn’t respond to that, they wouldn’t be around today. Right.(…) So.
(…)
All right. So I think the answer is no to everybody here, but, uh, upcoming events, uh, the 2025 great smoky mountain Jeep invasion, uh, then teased by Jeep. I don’t think anybody hears going, right?
(…)
Never again. Will I go to some pigeon for really never lie. Tell me, tell me. So pigeon forge is the biggest tourist trap you’ve ever been to. Oh yeah. Um, yeah,(…) I went there with my family for just a reunion with my, my parents, my sister, cousin, nephew, and everything during spring break one year. And to go from one end of town to the other, a mile and a half stretch was 20 minutes and Gatlinburg. Pigeon forges right next door is the same. Some ways that’s where Dollywood is. Okay. It’s where, um, just all the, you know, that lumberjack shows the Hatfield McCoy show all these dinner show, it’s the biggest knife store in the U S the biggest lodge cast iron store.
(…)
I am not a crowd person. I’d like to. Yeah, I know me too. I was like, Ooh,
(…)
to go to church in Gatlinburg, we had to pay to park in the church parking lot to go into church. What they will nick you, nickel and dime you for everything there. Oh, just take that away from the tip that you give.
(…)
Sorry. I already gave.
(…)
I paid outside.
(…)
No,(…) I wouldn’t like that at all.(…) Everybody’s welcome unless you need to park and then you need to pay.
(…)
Yeah. But getting anywhere, you’re not getting anywhere fast during these things. And people talk to you. Wait, how about LA?
(…)
But I’ve been, I’ve been to, you know, pigeon forage weren’t as busy, which is where I smokey mountain deep vision that I am very much, if I’m going somewhere destination, I’m going to go wheeling.(…) And to me, the show is secondary, which is what EJS is. And that’s just me. It’s, it’s my personal. I think that is 90% of anybody that has a modified Jeep. Why would you want to go someplace that you can’t go off road and you can go off road, but that’s not the focus of great smokey mountain. You need to make it, you need to plan it out where, cause there’s, um, wind rock there,(…) there’s land between the lakes and Kentucky, which I’ve wheeled where he and I actually wheeled that together. There is a lot of great wheeling down in the Tennessee, Kentucky area down where it is. And you can plan a great trip around it. Um, but then you’re just doing your own thing. So
(…)
don’t get me wrong. There is wheeling. It’s just not a part of the event.(…) And to me, like EJS, I go to the vendor show maybe for half a day and I’m good with it.(…) That’s, that’s all I need. Yeah. Cause you’re there to wheel and check out the scenery and small thing either. The, the, the vendor thing is really, there’s a lot there, but I mean, I mean, come on, you’re, you’re, you’re in Moab.(…) Well, if I spend anything more than half a day there, I’m going to come back and I’m going to be divorced from what I said.
(…)
So all the things you might’ve needed.
(…)
It’s cool to see the people that work at those places. Like I get the two times I went there. I spoke with Dennis at Terrell flex. Yeah. Power tank. I mean, everybody, power tank. Yeah. I was talking with Paul from Jeep cables, right?(…) Uh, a couple of people. Yeah. It’s neat to visit with the vendors, but it’s not to me. It’s not a remote for me at half day, maybe a little more, but it’s not to Wendy’s point. These guys, by the end of the trade show, it’s a trade show. Yeah. That’s essentially what this is. It’s exactly what it is. They’re done by the end of the day, by the end, by the end of this thing. Yeah.(…) And there’s events and stuff. I can see people having their modified Jeep go out and really not do any wheeling, just going there to make, maybe buy some stuff from the video show or, or show, you know, you’re going to look at what everybody else has done to their Jeep. So you have that show and you know, showing the concept vehicles. Well that yeah. But honestly, if you’re going to go to Moab, you want to go to wheel. I mean that you didn’t know.(…) Well, no, I can understand some people would made go there just for the, for the event.(…) Now, wheeling is scary. Part of it too though, is if you get a little people that, you know, like part of me, Mr. Jeep Safari, why such a blast? People like, Oh, you should go with his Jeep Safari. I go because, you know,(…) all the Jeep talks with people are there, right? To me, it’s also a big social.
(…)
And it’s, it’s an absolute blast. It’s people that you’ve never met in many cases, but you know, because of all the stuff we have with the Jeep family, well, the, the, the discord server and our round table that we do every week. So it’s a, it’s really a family. It was really cool. Cause, uh, John Lee actually pointed it out. What do you mean? That came up with the family idea. Uh, I think it’s a little, I know it sounds like a lot of Pat and Pat and the Jeep talk show on the back a little too hard, but well, you should, but we have started the family. Yeah, exactly. That whenever people get together, uh, out at these events. And maybe that’s part of why great smokey doesn’t appeal to me is cause everybody else, maybe one or two people are talking about going. It’s not like we had 30 people out at Eastern EJS. Yeah. And that’s a lot. That’s a great group. It’s a huge group. And it’s, it’s just absolute blast.
(…)
Yeah. Uh, you, you guys pulled up in a gas station and went in there and ransacked the place and, uh,(…) that toilet paper on fire and just a rowdy bunch.
(…)
We played the wind, blame Bob, who was in the bathroom and we pitched.
(…)
Well, anyway, the, the great smokey mountain Jeep invasion, we do have some Jeep talk show people going there. I know Natalie, uh, she’s actually going there with high lift off road. Sure. That makes sense. But she’ll be there and she’s going to be tied up in on the vendor side of it the whole time. Right. Uh, but if you’d like to meet Natalie, you certainly could do that. Just look for how that off road and, uh, make sure that you mentioned you, you know, we’re from a deep talk show and not high. Yeah, there you go.
(…)
And for her, that’s not far away either. She’s down in Cincinnati. That’s a decent, that’s maybe don’t call me on this. Maybe a four hour drive for her. I think that’s right. Because, uh, you know, where Chris is, uh, Chris is planning on going. So, uh, I mean, Natalie from high lift off road, uh, April, uh, uh, deep day Z, he’s planning on being out there. Uh, she’s going to be helping to, uh, promote the Jeep talk show with, with her being a co-host on the show. Uh, not, not the reason why she’s being there. I’m going to, uh, but Chris, Chris absolutely going there. Yeah, he does such a good job too. Well, Chris also double dips on this because his daughter goes to school down there. Oh yeah. No, that’s a good reason for him to go.
(…)
Doesn’t matter the reason, just go. His son, uh, his son, cause he’s talking about, they got to move him back into the dorms and stuff about that time. So it’s just another hour drive or something. Yeah. From, from that. And, uh, the cool thing is, is that, uh, uh, you will have a three people there about the Jeep talk show. And I know at least Chris and probably Natalie will have stickers and Natalie will hand them out. It’s not a problem. Which is great.
(…)
All we saw was the hands. Oh yeah. There you go.
(…)
So anyway, you’ll be able to find those folks if you’re going out there and nothing against the great smokey mint. Just don’t, uh, I don’t think drive it up and down a main road with your, uh, 1500 watt stereo system and two inch wheels on all.(…) And you know, I love lights, but I mean the lights that link and flash and you know, look at me type stuff. So, but each their own, but that’s, uh, I think it would be fun to see and it’d be fun to be a part of, but not enough for me to drive 20 hours. That’s a long drive for you, right? It’s further there than it is to EJS Tony. Or is it about the same? It may be I’ve never even mapped it. So. Except, except going that way, you’re going to hit more cities and more traffic than you would have going to EJS. So it could take. So true that, I mean, especially getting back from Moab, there’s like virtually nothing and no cars either. And then there’s, you know, a week it takes you to get through Texas. So. Yeah. Texas is boring. I’m so used to Texas. As soon as I hit new Mexico, it starts to Josh, Josh, a link you around. Yeah.
(…)
The fast lane is the only smooth lane in New Mexico.
(…)
Exactly.
(…)
Yeah. Don’t go on I-40 if you have death wall. Any, any. Forget it. Yeah, I know. The death one testing track is a, is it in Mexico?
(…)
All right. So we, we’ve been talking about wheels and the knuckles on the Jeeps this week. We’re going to talk a little bit about that here.(…) So, Wendy, when you go to buy wheels, what do you, what are the things that you think about round as a given? I was thinking square honestly. No, I’m just kidding. Wouldn’t that be cool if you could actually make a square wheel and mount it to a round wheel? You know, they probably already have it. We just haven’t seen it yet.
(…)
Wall L largest, and a
(…)
And you need to. Right. And you need to. That is correct.(…) And so it’s just an interesting thing. I never, again, when I first got into my wrangler, I’d never really thought about it. And someone was talking about… You expect Jeep to make something good. You expect to make the right decision for you, the consumer. And I think 90% of the time they do,(…) and probably you could probably say 100% of the time they do for people that don’t go off road. Don’t put big tires on the…(…) And it’s going to depend on what you’re doing, right? If you’re running 37s with really heavy wheels, the chances are greater that you’re going to do that. The wall. You’re doing some wall-erin, yeah. Yeah. Versus me, I get the 35, 12 and a halfs. I’ve not had any issues.(…) Roger’s wife’s running 37s on her jail. She’s not had any issues,(…) but again, it depends how hard you’re putting it. Yeah, but in the whole Murphy’s law thing, I’m married to Roger. Hey, he’s on that side of it. That’s three Roger references. Oh my gosh. He’s going to be calling in. I’ve had it. He says he’s used to it, but he sounds very disgusting. No, but I think it depends. Someone said to me the other day, “Well, how many miles have you replaced it?” Shit, there ain’t no guide on that. This is not like an oil change. It depends on what you do, how often you’re out there. What kind of wheeling are you doing? Simple fire road? How often you launch it off of a ramp? Oh, geez. Do you operate under the principal? “Hey, stupid. You have to drive it home?” Yeah. If you’re on a trailer, you can put it on because that’s a whole different driving. Two different ways. Yeah, it’s not going to fix the waller, but at least you can get it home and you can just sit it and look at it and go, “I need you to work on that waller.” Yeah, I got a 20 hour drive home from O-App.(…) Behind the wheel of the Jeep, not on a trailer. That’s right.(…) So, I guess really the point here is, is it worth the $1,000 or the $800 and the time? And some people have to pay the labor to have those changes. Is it worth it to change those things? I say it is, but I say do it whenever you’re making all the other changes to the axle. Like if you’re going with RCVs or you’re going with a truss or maybe you didn’t have lockers and you have lockers installed, all that stuff has to come out anyway. Then just have them take the knuckle off and put on the steel knuckle. And you’re spending a boatload of money, or I like to say buttload of money already.
(…)
Make that axle really work for it, especially if it’s a Dana 44. I think for a Dana 30, certainly you can do that with a Dana 30, but I recommend if you don’t have a 44 on the front of your Jeep, all gladiators do, not all wranglers do, you might look at just replacing the whole thing with the steel knuckles on it. Well, and you also have to think about when you start replacing one part, then you’re creating a weaker link somewhere else. So it makes sense to plan to do that sort of all together. It’s going to be expensive, but I do think it’s worth it. My opinion would be yes. And again, I would preface that by saying, what are you doing? If you’re strictly going to just drive it back and forth to work, you don’t need to touch it. But if you’re going to go off road and you want to do some fun wheeling at some of these parks and you want to go over some rocks or you want to do different types of obstacles, you’re going to need to consider that because that will be a weak link for you at some point. Well, it kind of goes back to the whole fake beat locks versus beat locks thing. Exactly. If you’re going to build it for off road, even if you’re not taking it off road,(…) does it make sense to save a thousand dollars simply because you didn’t want to go full bore? Well, it also depends when are you going to do it yourself or are you paying someone else to do it? Correct. Because you’re paying someone else to place your ball joints, then later to come back and place the knuckles, you’re paying a lot more in the long run, right? Where if they’re already in there,(…) do it.
(…)
From the mind of Nicky G.
Hey, this is Nicky G and there’s two kinds of people in the world.(…) There’s the Loctite people and the Anti-Seize people.
(…)
And yeah, why am I holding them? Pliers, if you know, you know.
(…)
But that’s not what I’m calling. I can’t tell you that.
(…)
Damn it.
(…)
I had it on the tip of my tongue.
(…)
Now, I can’t believe viruses just invade my body without asking. Man, it makes me sick.
(…)
Yeah, I can’t believe I…
(…)
Sorry to believe I forgot that one. I’m going around telling people about the benefits of grapes.
(…)
Yeah, you know, raising awareness.
(…)
All right.(…) Oh, gosh. All right, boys and girls. I’ll chatulate and have a good one. Bye. I should apologize, but I’m not.
