Jeep Talk Show

A Show About Jeeps!

Where Everyone Knows Your Name

40-inch Tire on a Jeep Gladiator launches a Nissan Murano into the air!

We talked about this on Tuesday’s flagship episode.  More information has come out including that the owner and driver of the Gladiator is a Jeep Talk Show listener.

Yes, we are in the process of scheduling an interview to get you first-hand information.  Until then, it seems the Murano was fleeing police after being pulled over for expired registration.  Yes, expired registration.  Now it’s possible there was a warrant out, or a dead body in the back, but engaging in a high-speed chase for a minor traffic offense is just dumb.

The driver and occupants of the Gladiator were uninjured, but the owner is considering purchasing a rear-facing dash cam for future high-speed chances.

Stay tuned to the Jeep Talk Show for the interview!

Where everyone knows your name

Do you guys remember the bar where the opening song says “where everyone knows your name”?  Well, there’s a unique bar in Toledo that you’ll want to visit while you’re at the Toledo Jeep Fest this weekend.  They know your name as long as you answer to JEEP!

We’re talking about “Wheelin’ On The Rocks”  A Jeep-themed bar located on West Laskey Road.  If you see a lifted olive green four-door Wrangler in the parking lot Crissy “skinny pedal” something tells me she didn’t pick that nickname, runs, and owns the bar.  Tell her hello from the Jeep Talk Show and if Chris from JTS shows up, keep a keen eye on him!

Speaking of Toledo Jeep Fest. Chris will be there with Nicky G, well Nicky has a 10-hour drive in his XJ so he intends to be there, and Chris will be handing out Jeep Talk Show stickers!

Chris wants you to provide him with a special phrase to prove you listen to the show.  We just found out that co-host Larry won’t be making it to TJF so I decided the phrase should be “Larry sucks!”

Jeep Renegade “Willys” edition?

I think this falls under the heading of how NOT to win a world war, but thankfully we’re not in one, yet.

Hey, it’s not my fault the aliens keep sending me messages directly to my vibrating skull, but I digress…

It seems the “modern-day” Renegade, not the CJ trim level, has the “Willys” plastered on the fender in military stencil font. It’s that sarge green and it’s available in Brazil.  If you’re calling “poser” you should know it’s a Trailhawk edition!  So there, take that!

Hurry up, it’s a limited run of only 500 units!

Jeep Talk Show Gladiator Update

If you’re like me you look at the modern-day Jeeps, JL/JT perhaps even the JK and you see the size of the steering components and say “That’s beefy!”

Especially if you once had, or perhaps still have a YJ, TJ, or XJ.

Well in my interview with Jay of SteerSmarts, he had some very interesting and informative things to tell me, and you the Jeep Talk Show listeners.  I have learned so much by talking to many people in the Jeep aftermarket industry.

To be fair Greg Henderson has been preaching the SteerSmarts over factory superiority for some time now.  Actually talking to Jay was a lot like talking to Greg, and I mean that in a good way.

I’m sold, it’s Steersmarts for me.
