And sometimes just down the street, had a neighbor. It’s the Jeep talk show interview. Hey, thanks again to Todd Henderson of real truck at real truck.com. You know, I’ve mentioned this on a couple of the other episodes. A real truck is a reoccurring or as I like to say, reoffending, nothing offensive about real truck, uh, uh, uh, advertiser here on the show. So, uh, please take your time. If you, you know, if you like the show that, uh, this, this show, take your time, uh, take some time and go over there and look at real truck.com. Have a look at their, their products they have there and, uh, you know, give them a little, uh, give them a little feedback, tell them, uh, thank you for supporting the Jeep talk show, especially when you make a purchase.

All right. Coming up next week, Ben Burr of blue ribbon coalition and their website is share trails.com. I am a subscriber, uh, uh, donor, uh, to a blue ribbon coalition. They need our help. Uh, you will hear in this interview how the Chevron deference, uh, being removed by the Supreme court recently is going to help, uh, their efforts to fall file suits to get trails reopened, uh, keep trails from being closed and a myriad of other things that blue ribbon coalition does for us. So it doesn’t matter if you’re a jeeper or if you’re, if you’re a Toyota or, uh, cyber trucker, uh, any of those things, any of the, any ways you like to enjoy the off-road hiking, uh, this is really, really good news for us, the people and the American lands to be able to use them, uh, as Americans. Yeah. Of course we want to be careful how we use the off-road. Uh, we, we, we want it there to be, uh, be there for our children, our grandchildren, et cetera, but, uh, dammit, we ought to be able as Americans, we should be able to use the American lands and this is going to help us. So help support them so we can get trails reopen and keep new trails from being closed.

You know, I don’t normally talk about people passing away on this show. Uh, never liked the negative. Uh, but for me, I feel I need to say something about Bob Newhart. Uh, Bob Newhart recently passed away. Uh, frankly, I didn’t think he was ever going to die. If, if you were a third rock, not third rock from the sun, uh, big bang theory, uh, a fan, you saw, uh, Bob doing some stuff there on that show still doing right, still very funny, uh, that dead pan look that he had. And, uh, yeah, I mean, uh, I guess this is the, the, the male Betty white, uh, cause I was very sad that Betty white passed away as well. Uh, and, uh, you’ll understand why, cause I used to watch her a long time ago on a little show called Mary Tyler Moore. At any rate, I am old enough to have watched Bob Newhart show when I was, when it was first released, you know, the old days, Saturday night, uh, and I think it was 1973 began with all in the family, then mash. This is the lineup for Saturday night that I’m talking about, followed by Mary Tyler Moore, which Betty white was on that show, then Bob Newhart. And in the evening ended up with the Carol Burnett show. What a lineup. You know, back in those days, we didn’t have a remote control for the TV. There was no flipping as Gary Sander’s, uh, Sanders used to say, because the flipping was it would change the channel and you have to get up and walk over there and change the channel. It was, it was a lot of work when you, when you were a kid in those days.

So the TV just stayed on CBS. That was channel 11 for us here in the Houston area. Uh, until Carol Burnett was over. What a time to be alive. It was amazing. Nobody did this. Nobody had a full, just a whole evening of shows that you would watch. And, uh, they, I mean, they were only 30 minute shows, uh, like Bob Newhart was only a 30 minute show. So you may have gotten 20 minutes, uh, maybe under a little under 20 minutes of actual show, uh, to watch, but it was, it was all also wonderful. So many great actors, so many funny shows. And, uh, actually I think they were all comedies that were on come to think of it. Uh, they had a drama interspersed in those, uh, those shows, but it was so, so good. And even at the time, and I think it was like, um, 12 or 13 at the time, uh, even at the time, I knew this was a really big deal, uh, that, cause this was just so unusual for a, a one, um, network to have so many great shows and they had them all lined up back to back. And I kind of wonder about that now that I’m thinking about it, it kind of makes sense that they should have spread it out through the week. Uh, but, uh, boy, I’m glad they didn’t. It was fun just to sit there and watch all those shows. I bet you they made a mint on advertising with those, all those shows like that. So I would have loved to have met Bob Newhart and thank him for decades of entertainment. Thanks Bob. And say hello. Hello to Emily for me. Uh, actually there’s so many of them have passed away now. There’s going to be a whole bunch of people that were all, um, on those shows on Saturday night, Mary Mary Tyler, more Betty white, um, I just, uh, I think, I think all of them have passed away now. Um, yeah, it’s just, uh, I would think heaven is very entertaining.
