This weekend is the Myrtle Beach Jeep Jam
The Myrtle Beach area will see thousands of Jeeps this weekend, potentially clogging up roads near downtown Myrtle Beach. The Myrtle Beach Jeep Jam will run from 1 to 5 p.m. Friday and 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday. The main event will be hosted at the former Myrtle Square Mall site near the Myrtle Beach Convention Center, 2101 North Oak St.
If you want to attend the Myrtle Beach Jeep Jam, general admission tickets for one day cost $10. At the event, there will be a mud pit, an obstacle course, and a Jeep show.
The Jeep brand has been having a tough go of things lately, with slipping market share and sales declines—even in a climate where buyers can’t get enough of SUVs in general, not a great look for an all-SUV brand. So what gives? High prices seem to be one of the culprits, and Jeep has been whittling away at the problem, recently cutting prices on its least-expensive model, the Compass, and adding lower-cost variants of the Grand Cherokee last year. Now, for 2025, Jeep is further messing with the two-row Grand Cherokee and three-row Grand Cherokee L MSRPs, cutting prices almost across the board for the midsize SUV.
Listed at $38,290 with destination included, but we can’t imagine many buyers will spring for one when the 2025 Grand Cherokee Laredo (the regular version) sees a $1,000 price cut to just $38,830; that buys you a two-row, rear-drive version, with four-wheel drive and the three-row L body style requiring more money. That same $1,000 price cut applies to the Grand Cherokee Laredo X, Altitude, and Altitude X trim levels for 2025
The first Jeep easter egg originated in 1997 when designer Michael Santoro decided to leave his mark on the final product and incorporated the iconic 7-bar grille design hidden in the cowl of the Wrangler.
When you think of technology, what comes to mind?
The smartphone that you’re reading this blog on, or perhaps that fancy new refrigerator with a giant screen and camera built in so you can check on your eggs, may come to mind. But what about the truck or SUV that sits in your driveway or your garage? Get this: Modern vehicles contain a network of electronic control units (ECUs), with between 70 and 100 being installed in every modern vehicle!
Heading off the beaten path used to be a DIY experience that required hardware like a part-time four-wheel drive system, locking differentials, lifts, big tires, and a good bit of nerve. Today’s modern off-road rigs combine the latest off-road hardware with a serious dose of modern technology that allows even the most novice off-roader to conquer tough obstacles easily.
From 360-degree cameras to real-time off-road trail updates fed right right in your dashboard’s infotainment screen – here are some of the coolest off-road tech features available in today’s modern off-road rigs.

Jeep Talk Show Gladiator Update
Saving money on your Jeep build. Have you priced wheels lately? The sky’s the limit, but I think this is like most items. It’s hard to find good cheap wheels. Well, Facebook marketplace, or a friend that dropped $2000, and now you can have the hand-me-downs. There’s nothing wrong with this.
Thanks to a YouTube video I watched about a Gladiator build I found out I could use the same wheels that are used for the Gladiator spare tire to run 35×12.5×17 tires!
The YouTube creator purchased 4 additional Jeep spare tire wheels and installed them on their Gladiator. It looked pretty good!
Now I didn’t buy Jeep spare tire wheels, but I did decide to just put my 35×12.5×17 tires on the Jeep factory wheels. It would be nice if I had a fifth tire, so I could do a proper rotation (myself not having it dismounted from the spare tire wheel)
I’ve been to Hidden Falls several times and Moab twice with this configuration. I air down to 14 psi and have had excellent work.
