Jeep® Sees Strong Growth in Europe, Driven by Avenger
Avenger Features Electric, Hybrid, And Gasoline Powertrains, Leading To Success…
The Jeep® brand continues its unstoppable journey across Europe in 2024, demonstrating strong growth and solidifying its place as a leader in the SUV market. Jeep recorded 100,700 vehicle registrations through the end of September 2024, reflecting a 3.5% increase compared to the same period in 2023. This growth has helped Jeep achieve a 1% market share in the European passenger car industry, up by 0.03 percentage points from last year.
Eric Laforge, Head of the Jeep® in Enlarged Europe, commented on the achievement: “We are thrilled that Jeep sales in Europe have surpassed 100,000 vehicles. These impressive results demonstrate our ability to adapt to diverse markets, while the success of the Jeep Avenger showcases our innovation and commitment to sustainability.”
Is Supercharging A Jeep Wrangler A Good Idea?
In bone stock form, the current 3.6-liter whips out 285 horsepower and 260 lb.-ft. of torque. Those might sound like laughable figures to muscle car owners, but for a little off-road rig, they’re not bad.
The only thing is some people feel the Wrangler has bloated up just like every other modern vehicle, making it not so little or lightweight like the CJs of old or even the TJs. That’s actually a defensible position to take in an argument, but does add a supercharger to the JL correct that deficiency?
This shop, Peterson Performance & Repair out of Colorado, decided to put a ProCharger into a Jeep Wrangler JL for a customer and decided to show what a difference it makes. However, to accommodate the supercharger, they had to install a throttle body used for a 5.7-liter Hemi V8, a huge upgrade compared to what comes from the factory.
They also swapped out the intake manifold for one that’s ported. After all, you can try cramming more air into an engine, but if the intake manifold doesn’t accommodate the extra flow, you’ll just have a bottleneck that chokes out at least some of the gain.
But swapping those parts triggers a check engine light with improper air-fuel mixture being the cause. Ultimately, they had to swap the stock throttle body back. With that setup the JL is significantly quicker in acceleration.
That’s great for driving on the road, but what do you think this does for off-roading? Is this too much or not a big deal for anyone want to hit trails?
Dealership, or Stealership?
Now, the auto repair shop is back to calling out exorbitant prices—this time for a Jeep plenum gasket set. It’s a component that costs $34.99 at Advance Auto Parts. Which is why he was stunned after seeing an invoice from Jeep. It indicated what the company charged per gasket—the Royalty team was stunned.
The “Jeep” price is $160, found on RockAuto for $12. 2022 Jeep Wrangler with 2-liter motor.
Unconfirmed reports are that a person who use to price movie theater snacks joined Jeep.
The Ultimate Guide to Off-Roading in National Parks
Since 1916, the United States National Park Service has managed and operated a massive expanse of this country’s land. National parks currently cover 85 million acres, or 13 percent of all land in the United States. This land is maintained and protected by the federal government, preserving the natural beauty and wildlife for future generations.
With such care taken to preserve this land, it’s no wonder that most national parks restrict OHV use and those that don’t require motorists to follow stringent rules and regulations. Adhering to these guidelines helps to avoid damage to trails, disruption of ecosystems, and impacts on wildlife populations. In this RealSource feature, we cover some tips, tricks, and rules to follow while wheeling through OHV trails in national parks. If you’re considering an off-road trek to a national park, read on for the dos and don’ts of wheeling on federal land.

Jeep Talk Show Gladiator Update
The more I look at Steersmarts the more I know what a great product this is. I mentioned last week how heavy and beautifully made these parts are.
I have since watched several installation videos. I have ordered a 42mm socket for the pitman arm.
Checking the parts I received I saw that the sector shaft brace I received was for the aluminum steering box, I have steel. I verified with Steersmarts that the only difference is what bolts I use, four shorts vs two shorts and two long.
I need to get my ducks in a row. Red Loctite, blue Loctite, and paint pen to mark nut locations after torquing.
We have a cold front coming, who knows by this time next week I may have it all installed!
Rear trackbar, front trackbar, draglink, tie rod, steering stabilizer, sector shaft brace.
Excited for the better, stronger, more secure steering and for my wife’s feedback.
