ABS (Anti-Lock Brake System)

Anti-Lock Brake System is a factory installed option on many vehicles which uses wheel rotation sensors to provide input to the vehicle computer and a control box. The system is designed to prevent wheel lockup during panic stops and when slowing down on slick surfaces.
