Stellantis recalling over 354,000 Jeeps worldwide
Rear coil springs can detach while they’re moving (detach as in fall off)
The recall covers certain 2022 and 2023 Grand Cherokee and 2021 to 2023 Grand Cherokee L SUVs
SUVs with air suspensions are not affected. Dealers will inspect the springs and replace the assemblies if necessary.
I can’t find exactly what is causing the springs to fall out!
The timing on this sucks. If it was winter we could have said “keep an eye out, spring may just be around the corner!”
Stellantis fined $5,000 for latest Jeep plant odor violation
The maker of Jeep SUVs will pay the state of Michigan $5,000 because of a May air-quality violation at its new plant in Detroit.
Stellantis has received repeated violations for more than a year and a half at the plant because of odors and has entered into a consent order valued at $283,832 with the EGLE in hopes of resolving the problem. Part of that deal requires stipulated penalties for continued violations. Stellantis must make the payment by July 13.
Stellantis already had agreed to pay a fine of $136,832 in the consent agreement. Additionally, it’s installing a new building management system at nearby Southeastern High School and a second regenerative thermal oxidizer in the Mack plant’s paint shop that must be in operation by June 30.
More than 200 people were arrested during Jeep Weekend in Galveston County, Crystal Beach
Go Topless Day 2023 in S.E. Texas
KPRC, reported 233 arrests and over 200 charges filed during the weekend event, a steep increase from previous years.
Last year, there were 100 arrests made and in 2021, 200 people were arrested, according to KPRC.
In addition to the massive beach crowds and the influx of arrests, officials said there were also several injuries and hospitalizations.
More than 50 people were hospitalized and one woman was reportedly in critical condition, according to KRPC.
Last year, a Galveston County sheriff’s deputy was injured and airlifted after a crash.
And, with a crowd of nearly 80,000, last year’s event put a strain on emergency services.

Will the Colby Valve work with TPMS sensors? Yes and No. There are different forms of TPMS. If the sensor is on the valve stem and you break the valve stem, the TPMS is probably loose in the tire cavity. In an emergency scenario, just leave it in there and use the Colby Valve Emergency Valve, which will work perfectly. It’s likely that the TPMS will be no more damaged when you get home than right after it happened. If your question is whether you can connect your TPMS sensor to the Colby Valve, the answer is no. The main advantage of the Colby Valve is that it can be inserted from the outside of the wheel. TPMS sensors are far too large to fit through the valve hole in the wheel.
