Jim Kitson
Jim has been an off-road enthusiast since the 70’s with a variety of toys including snowmobiles, dirt bikes, dune buggies, quads, trucks, jeeps and rock buggies. He has been a member of Great Lakes Four Wheel Drive Association since 1979 and over the years has been involved at state and local levels of government regarding trail access, trail cleanups and ORV park development. He has been active with GLFWDA as a trail ride leader and event organizer. Over the past 10 years he has been instrumental with the development of Holly Oaks ORV Park, which is located 50 miles northwest of Detroit. During the development of Holly Oaks, he and his wife saw the need for specialized training for off road driving and in 2014 formed Adventure Off-Road Driving School LLC. AORDS focus’s on individualized attention to their clients, focusing on slow and controlled driving. Over the past 10-12 years his passion for rock crawling has grown and he travels out of state several times a year to run some of the toughest rock trails around the country.
