Is Stellantis selling brands?
When the merger, that created Stelantis happened, the rumor was that some of the brands might be cut. Chrysler, Dodge, Fiat, Alfa Romeo, and Maserati were on that list if one existed. Jeep was not.
Jeep is the goose that lays the golden egg. But Tavares stopped talking about dropping brands and told all 14 brands needed to submit a 10-year strategic play.
Three years later no brand has been dropped. Things are getting tough, at least in the Jeep brand as sales are down.
I have read that Maserati may be the first to fall, just rumor and opinion, but the guy who replaced Jim Morrison was working for Maserati. Maybe he was moved out before the Maserati drop?

I had a great conversation with Kris. The owner and driver of the 2022 Jeep Gladiator was struck during a police chase in California. If you haven’t heard about this, or seen the dashcam footage of the Jeep behind Kris’s Gladiator you should. A fleeing SUV tries to drive between vehicles in the rightmost, and center lane when it strikes the rear passenger tire (40”) and goes airborne doing a barrel roll!

Jeep Driver Identified
Jeep, Tesla crash on Mt. Charleston facing multiple charges
The driver accused of hitting a Tesla with a Jeep on a mountain outside of Las Vegas and driving away has been identified, according to a Nevada State Police traffic crash report.
The suspected hit-and-run driver is 38-year-old Asya Hovhannisyan, who lives in Las Vegas, according to the documents. She faces two civil infractions and a misdemeanor citation, according to court records. The traffic violations are failing to decrease speed or use care under certain circumstances and unsafe turns using improper positions or methods at intersections. The criminal complaint charge is a duty to stop at the scene of an accident involving damage to the vehicle or other property which is driven/attended.
The Tesla, driven by Radu Stefan, reversed and rammed into the Jeep. The car continued accelerating forward as it turned left onto Lee Canyon Road, and swerved into the mountain as well as across the road before coming to a stop. When the Tesla reversed back to the intersection, the Jeep was gone.
Charge for Jeep Rollover
A Vermont man is due in court next month after he was involved in a crash that left another person seriously injured.
On Saturday, Vermont State Police charged 20-year-old Austin Carrier with gross negligent operation resulting in serious bodily injury for an incident last month in Sandgate.
According to police, Carrier was towing a jeep behind his vehicle with a chain up an incline when the drive shaft of his vehicle broke, causing the vehicle to roll backward.
The person steering the Jeep, an 18-year-old woman, tripped and fell while trying to get out of that vehicle and was run over. She had to be airlifted due to the severity of her injuries.
Police said Carrier turned himself in on Saturday and was processed before being released.
He is due in court in September to answer the charge.
Police did not provide an update on the woman who was injured.
Jeep Talk Show Gladiator Update
I have to say I love the 2021 Jeep Talk Show Gladiator. I’m starting to think I’m just not a Wrangler guy. In 1998 I was going to buy a new TJ, but at the last minute switched to an XJ. In 2021 there was no almost, it was the Gladiator, or just keep driving the XJ.
I have been very impressed with the JT. Power, comfort, payload, and towing capacity, and it’s still a Jeep. If you’re on the fence for Wrangler or Gladiator, well I’d do the same thing again.
It can be argued that I would say the same thing if I had a JL or JLU. I think it would be fun to have one, but honestly, it would be my wife. Something just stands out to me with an XJ or JT.
