Full Episode Transcript
Tony: A’ighty-o boys and girls, it’s time for another Jeep Talk Show interview. We’re gonna be talking with Natasha. Natasha, you remind me of your name every time. All our viewers here know I have a problem saying names. If I get the name anywhere close, I’m doing good.
Tony: So our co-host April, I’ll often call her Amber. Don’t know why, it just happens. So we’ve made it into a drinking game. Alright, so today we’re excited to welcome our guest, Natasha, from Lithia Fireside RV Rental.
Natasha and her team have more Jeep stories than most people can keep up with. From delivering eight units with Judd for the Treasure Coast Jeep Club, and 14 more to the Pinellas Jeep Club, to being long time vendors at events across the country…
00:01:16 – Getting into the Jeep Life
Natasha: I think it’s the Orlando Jeep Club that spends like two months before Jeep and with Judd to get those trails ready. And we were vendors the year before, and we didn’t, I only got to go on the trails the very last day…
00:02:49 – How Natasha & Ricky Got Into Jeeps
Tony: So what in the world, besides the need for money, especially for Jeep mods, would you buy a RV franchise?
Natasha: Well, I think jeeping and camping are kind of hand in hand. Like you’re going out into the woods, you’re going out to do an adventure…
We went to Sedona and we rented a Jeep Wrangler and we took that rental all over the place. When we got back we got a Gladiator. I got a white one first, then Ricky got the pumpkin Gladiator…
00:06:26 – Natasha’s Jeep History (392, Barbie-Con TJ, etc.)
Natasha: Then I went from the Gladiator to the 4xe, then I switched that out for the 392. I had a Tuscadero 392 Rubicon, which was gorgeous…
I took it to the Bradenton drag racetrack… I did the quarter mile in about 12 something seconds.
00:09:45 – Mud Wheeling in Florida
Natasha: That’s the difference between me and my husband. I am like, let’s go to the mud, like all the way. I’m like egging people on…
Tony: So I’m guessing your husband cleans your Jeep?
Natasha: Yes, so he doesn’t like it. And it isn’t good for the Jeep to be honest… Especially the alternator.
00:13:31 – The Best Part of Jeeping
Tony: I think the big thing about jeeping that you learn really quickly, it’s not what you’re doing that is particularly scary or dangerous… It’s going places that most people can’t go and they’ll never see.
Natasha: Exactly. When we went to Tennessee, somebody told us about a trail… Once we got all the way to the top, the view was like, oh my God…
00:17:46 – Jeep Beach & Salt Water Concerns
Tony: Salt water is not friendly for our Jeeps, especially the TJs.
Natasha: On Jeep Beach, you’re pretty far, you don’t go into the water… But you’re close enough for it to do damage.
00:22:28 – How They Started Lithia Fireside RV Rental
Natasha: We owned a class A… Then we bought a little 16-foot “bed in a box”… We put them up for rent and tried to do it on our own, but weren’t really getting anything.
Then I saw an ad for GAR’s Fireside RV Rental and we decided to get a franchise.
00:29:41 – Rental Process & Protection
Natasha: We deliver, setup, and pickup for about 98% of rentals… We take a credit card and there is a deposit.
00:40:30 – How to Rent From Them
Natasha: Our website is lithia.firesidervrental.com
Phone: 813-309-9808
We have travel trailers, camper vans, Class C, and even a lifted Mercedes Condor.
00:47:40 – Social Media
Natasha: We’re at Lithia Fireside RV Rental on Facebook.
TikTok: @RV rental fire starter and @Natasha X for Gen X.
Tony: Natasha, thanks a lot for being with us today. Very interesting conversation. We’ll have to get you back so we can delve into this deeper.
